excellent quality at an aforadable price!
I usually purchased this food from petfooddirect.com, but I have to say that Amazon.com sells fresher food than petfooddirect.com. The food in the can looks as if it was just recently canned. It's very flaky with whole pieces of shrimp in it, and my cat eats it like it's going out of style! The food is nutritionally sound. If you allow Amazon.com to ship it to you with regularity you save even more money, just twelve dollars and change for a case of 24 and free shipping too! All of petfooddirect's promotional codes still doesn't allow you to get the food freely shipped, and the same goes for petco. The cost of shipping is really ridiculous! The price of flaked cat food is so expensive. Fancy feast sells food called 'Fancy feast appetizers' that sell for $1.25+ and you get so little in the container! My cat loves them but they cost so much and you're getting less than 2 ounces in the little plastic container. I'm afraid that I've begun to buy human tuna at my store for my cats since it's on sale all the time, mostly at 99cents per can, (particularly Bumble Bee chunk white tuna). You get more in the can for less money. The chunk light tuna is better than chunk white tuna and has less exposure to mercury which of course is the healthiest for both humans and cats alike.I also buy Bumble Bee canned Salmon and I give my cat just a little from it every day while refrigerating the rest in a little garlic powder and spring water and my cat loves it! My cat loves the fish juice so I add a good amount of spring water to the salmon that I refrigerate in a Tupperware-like container I purchased from QVC(some plastic containers have a chemical-like odor that are not healthy for use so I never buy them). The Bumble Bee Salmon also has bones in it that are edible(very crunchy). Tuna in general & most de-boned fish are low in vitamin E, calcium, sodium, iron, copper and many other vitamins(according to pet specialists) but the Bumble Bee Salmon has bones and skin in it (with all that good fish oil in the skin)for the cat's coat. I can get Bumble Bee Salmon on sale for $1.99 a can and sometimes less at stores like CVS, Walgreens & RiteAid and it's much cheaper to feed my cat this food than to buy him canned cat food that can make you go broke. But, the only canned cat food that I can recommend in terms of affordability and excellent quality is Fancy Feast's Fish & Shrimp, may they never stop making it!

Fancy Feast Cat Food
I have tried several different brands of food and flavors. My cats seem to like this one the best. It has chunks of real fish and shrimp in it. They actually clean the dish with this one. Purchasing it by the case on Amazon makes it a bargain compared to by the can from the store. I would recommend that if you have a picky eater, try this brand and flavor from the store and then purchase by the case from here.

real flaked fish, no wheat gluten
As far as I can tell, all the other flavors in the Fancy Feast "flaked" product line are made with some sort of processed meat/wheat gluten blend formed into flake shapes. This one is actual flaked fish (and a few small shrimp), no gluten! It's similar to the premium brands like Tiki Cat Luau that cost 2 or 3 times as much per serving. With no added starches, I feel comfortable feeding this to my diabetic cat.The nutritional profile on this is also excellent; at 15% protein and 2% fat, it's got 50% more protein and less than half the fat of many of the Fancy Feast pate flavors. That said, I would not feel comfortable feeding this exclusively to any of my cats. Most cats love fish, but they evolved eating birds and small mammals, so I think they need to be eating foods based on chicken, organ meats, etc too. But this is a great food to be part of their diet, especially if you have a fat cat who wants wet food but needs a lower fat option than the pates.Update: beware of shipping damage! My recent delivery had two cans in the corner of the pack crushed and leaking and the whole package smelled of rotten fish as a result. Yuck! Fortunately the mess was contained by the plastic wrap around the pack and didn't contaminate other items shipped in the same box.

Been Flavor of the Week for the past month.
All cats are frustratingly fickle about their food (unlike humans) so anything that breaks the cycle is a good thing. This flaked texture seems has replaced the pate that she seems to have grown out of. She eats one half of a can at a time, so the size is convenient .trust Purina quality, but Purina price is too high for a pet food product. There must be millions of us low fixed income pet lovers recoiling from close to $1 a can .Heads up Purina. Give us a break.

Value, Shipping, Availability
My order was received in very short time. I have a finicky cat. If he doesn't like it, he will leave it on his dish till it gets hard and he couldn't eat it if he wanted. It is expensive to keep experimenting, so when he ate this and wanted more I was excited. Buy a few cans and let your pet decide. This is hard to find in the grocery store. Amazon price is unbeatable and you don't have to search to find.

Real Fish
Unlike many cat foods you can tell this one is filled with real chunks of fish and at least one whole small shrimp. It's also packed tight to the top of the can.

Kitty's New Favorite
I'm a new cat person and have tried several flavors of the Fancy Feast brand and some my Pickles didn't like at all and some he did. Last week at a grocery store, I bought one can of a few different flavors/textures to see if he'd like them before I committed to buying a full case. This flaked version with fish and shrimp was a big hit. Hopefully he won't get tired of it any time soon because I'm tired of wasting money on cat food trying to keep him happy.
