The product works fine. I used a cigarette lighter adapter. Little transformer stepped down the voltage to 5 volts. An old GPS power supply was adapted by me.

Plug it in and go. Works fantastic. Mine does read about 5% fast as the ad said it might. That's OK, close enough.

it works. That is, it displays your miles per hour. When the title or something says heads up display that leads me to think that it is projected onto the windshield like a heads up display is. This is not a heads up display. it is simply a display.

The media could not be loaded. CONS: Speed is off slightly.PROS: Installation. Use.Additional Thoughts: My 1996 Silverado speedometer is WAY off. If I am doing 55, the speedometer is showing around 70. I haven't felt like fixing it and figured this digital speedometer would be an easier/cheaper fix for me. Installation was easy with a USB cable for power to a USB plug (not supplied), and a couple pieces of tape to stick this device where you want it. You will have to secure this somewhere you can see it easily as I couldn't figure out how to make it reflect off my windshield like a true Heads Up Display. This unit does not turn off, so it will be a very slight drain on your battery. I would disconnect this if not driving the vehicle for a couple days. The response time of this is not super fast but it is having to get signals from space. I did find that the speed indicated was slightly higher than what my cellphone GPS was indicating. I'm not sure which one would be more accurate but I'm leaning towards the cellphone. This digital speedometer did show a fairly accurate speed indication and updated well enough for me to feel I was driving within posted speed limits. I included a few video clips to show you some real world action of this compared to my cellphone. For the price, $9.99, its way better than paying someone to fix my truck!LovingTheRetiredLife

I really like how easy this was to get this set up and running in my truck. The unit is very compact and easy to read. I really like that it uses a standers USB C cord instead of an out dated cord like my last one. The MPH is very close to my speedometer and the stand alone GPS and the speed app on my phone. Like any GPS speed info it fluctuates accuracy depending on your surrounding location. It works very good and the quality is very good.
