It's sad but I have spent my entire life wooing various brands and styles of tin openers, but it was tragically all unrequited love ......but then !!! this one came into my life...our eyes met across a crowded scrap heap and we fell in love....TRUST ME FOLKS do not waste another penny on the "also rans " This tin opener is the answer to decades of half opened tins, cut fingers, and the highest level of frustration you could imagine...ignore any derogatory reviews....surely it's 5 stars all round...?!I have bad arthritis in the arm I broke in 2009 ( both bones, had to be set ) even holding a tea plate too long and my wrist virtually locks itself with pain......I can't recommend this tin opener any more highly ...Just buy it. You will thank me, I promise you. The bit you have to turn is as easy as slicing butter, easier in fact. And the price is amazing too. Ps we are getting married in July.....just a quiet affair, just me, him and a couple of tins.....

Hefty. Serves all regular sized kitchen tins. Like that I can cut around and leave a cm or so still not cut - allows me to drain excess liquid, empty contents, clean/wash tin, push attached lid down into tin -- and not have to deal ( be concerned ) with a fully detached/removed round lid with extremely dangerous sharp edges.

This was a great purchase. The product is well made and exceeded my expectations.
