2 Pack - B22 Socket Lampholder Extension Plug 4Amp 240V

These B22 socket lampholder extension plugs are something of a blast from the past, but they work well, enabling you to easily extend a lighting cable/lamp to a more appropriate location. They look and feel very authentic (as in old). Easy to wire up and very hard to find elsewhere. Just don't try to run an iron from one (as my Mum, born in 1918 did, many, many years ago when radial wiring was the defacto house wiring circuit)

I ordered these and they are exactly what I expected them to be. and they work exactly as they should.Saved me a lot of messing about and hassle!Basically the quality is OK, they are easy to wire up and they work without having to worry about them. Thumbs up.

Handy for power cuts to the mains plugs as many homes are on a ring circuit so if the mains plugs go but lights still work attach this to the end of a flex and then attach a plug on the other end then place the plug into the socket and hey presto you have electricity back on the mains circuit also its good to use an extension lead and appliances can then be put into it I've been looking for these items for years as it's handy for different applications

Did exactly what I wanted but it's not designed to be stressed as no cable grips.

The plugs are good value for the money, I wish they were a bit stronger.

...but was still a good solution for Xmas lights that didn't require an earth in our socket less porch...

These would have been a 5 star rated product if only they had a cable grip built in like the ones from days gone bye.Years ago you could get these things from almost any D I Y shop, but these days they really are hard to find. I use them for fitting LED striplights in places like the garage etc.Just put one of these on the wiring of your striplight, remove the original bayonet fit bulb, insert the socket extension with a suitable piece of cable and the job is done. fitting the striplight in this way has the advantage that when it fails you can just uncouple it and replace the original bulb whilst you search for areplacement striplight.A good value product that appears well made and comes in really handy for installing better lighting need not be too pretty.

I used these in the 1970s and early 80’s for Christmas tree lights, they disappeared off the market, this year I needed this style of power socket again, delighted to have found them, fast delivery and a quality product.
