This clock is great! it was easy to start and I love my green time numbers. The size is perfect for my bedstand and no cord! Exact what I was looking for and I will probably buy a second one for my guest room.

We needed a battery powered clock with numbers that are easy to read from across the room, and this one is perfect. It’s a great size for the space, easy to set, the green numerals are large and bright, and its design is attractive and unobtrusive. In addition, it uses type A batteries, a type that’s necessary for so many different items around our house that it's commonplace for us to keep an ample supply on hand. The one aspect of the clock that I really haven’t decided on yet is the automatic dimming feature. If there’s no noise in the room for 30 seconds, the numerals dim considerably and become almost invisible, even at close range. The clock is very prompt in lighting up again if noise is registered. On the one hand, it’s a great way to save battery power, and it’d be an excellent feature for a bedroom. On the other hand, the drawback is that in a room that’s used throughout the day, it’s kind of annoying to not be able to see the time. Of course, that can be changed right away by making a noise, and the entire dimming feature can be disabled by the push of a button. I didn’t delete a star based on this minor complaint because the dimming feature is optional and because my annoyance at not seeing the time immediately is my problem, not the clock’s.

This cordless clock is pretty much what I was looking for. I just needed it to be able to see the time at night when I look across to the top of my bureau . I don’t intend to use it for an alarm clock, although maybe that could come in handy if I decide to. I have my cellphone for that. But I am use to having a clock in my bedroom which the last broke because of constant falling on the floor because the cord was too short . This is a simple to use digital clock with nice sized numbers ,which I got in green.The only downside to this clock is that it uses 4AA which I feel is a lot for a simple digital clock. It does state that it goes through batteries quickly, that’s why they suggest using the voice activated feature. Basically when you have that feature on it dims the clock. Once it hears noise it’ll it will brighten back up to the setting you put it on for dimness. I turn that feature off at night so I am able to see the time constant but in low light. During the day I keep it on voice activated to save battery. I do like this clock reason for the 4 star is for the amount of batteries it takes. But other than that no complaints.

Medium size battery operated clock with large bright numbers. They can be dimmed for sleep also. I got this clock so my husband can see time better due to poor vision. Works well and has beautiful green colored numbers. It can be purchased in red also. I would buy again.

Easy to see in all kinds of light conditions. Big numbers, I like the green light, it's bright but not harsh. Easy to see in daylight and nighttime. I like that I can turn off or lower the brightness easily. Better that it is battery powered no need to deal with a plug.

Very nice clock, easy to use. I like the dimming feature that preserves battery life and the adjustable volumes on the alarm itself.

This review is after using the clock for a year.Pros: Large, easy to read numerals; can set the display to only come on when voice/sound activated, which works well for night-time use; 12/24 time capability; buttons are big enough and their functions are explained very well on the back of the clock. I never had to consult the operating manual except when setting up for the first time.Cons: runs about 7 seconds slow during a month's time; eats batteries, even when using the voice-activated feature. Good quality batteries last only 3 months or less. For me, a bit too large to travel with.I did not test the alarm as I only bought the clock for 24 hour time.
