Cheap and effective
No harsh chemicals and corresponding allergic reactions. No bad chemical smells. This stuff smells nice and minty and cleans effectively. It's the only product I use for this purpose. I just wish it didn't come in a plastic bottle as that's bad for the environment. At least the product within is less toxic with its plant-derived ingredients.

Works as well as Clorox/Lysol
Cleans well and leave a mild mint scent. We live on a septic system and had to change some of our daily products to help protect it.

Great product for keeping the toilet bowl clean while safe for health and environment!
While the Seventh Generation’s toilet bowl cleaner won't tackle the most stubborn stains in a flash, it's a great product I use regularly to keep my toilet bowl white and clean, while having a low impact on the environment.I'll usually apply this cleaner on the toilet bowl, let it sit for at least half an hour. Then I brush the bowl very well, let the product sit for a little longer, then flush. This removes the regular hard water deposit I get in my toilet. For hard stains and spots, this won't leave the toilet bowl as white as a bleach based product would; but I prefer using this on regular basis and something stronger if I really need. The consistency is not very thick, it glides easily on the insides of the bowl, but it still clings to them. The dispenser part is so well designed! It's a very narrow tube than dispenses product easily in a thin layer, managing to squirt product into narrow toilet rims. It retracts in the capAlthough I would love fragrance free cleaning products, the `Emerald Cypress & Fir` scent Seventh Generation it's light enough for my `sensitive` nose. It's fresh, somewhat woodsy (pine) and grassy (fir), but doesn't linger to much on the surface. It doesn't release any fumes or strong smell while I let it sit on the toilet bowl; for very hard stain it would be even safe to let to product to work overnight. For me using it matters a lot that this product is EWG rated as a A grade cleaning product, as I'm confident it's safe for both the environment and myself. I do also appreciate that the brand is cruelty free.

Surprise! It works. But also consider borax
I never thought a bleach and ammonia free product would actually clean. But spritz this on, let it cling for a bit, scrub, let sit some more and you get a nice fresh bowl. it clings well allowing you to scrub conveniently. The fresh scent doesn't seem to last for more than 2 days but it's easy enough to clean again. I'd say it does everything I want cleans, deodorizes, easy to use but the cleaning lacks staying power.I'm impressed by it's environmental friendliness.I was busy running out of this stuff but had some borax which I use as a laundry additive. Read the instructions: cleans bathrooms ( picture of a toilet hint hint) deodorizes. Removes soap scum, etc...I mixed up some borax about 1-2 tablespoons with water and refill one of these bottles and swished away. It took the whole bottle because the stuff does not cling. Then I tried powered borax in an old spice bottle sprinkled directly. I think I'm using about 2-3 tablespoons. After several cleanings, the bowl is dead white 3-4 days after cleaning whereas before with this product buildup could be seen after 2-3 days. Definitely smells better longer.Borax is also septic safe. Its costs $8 for a 4 lb box at your local Target. There are reasons not to use borax. For instance it's toxic to insects and in extremely large quantities toxic to pets and people. So if you have pets or persons who want to snort cups of white crystalline powder up their nose, maybe you wanna stay away from this stuff. But if you're a person who can take sensible precautions, as far as i can estimate you can clean your toilet for nearly 100 times before you run out.Always wear gloves while using borax. Some people are very sensitive to the stuff.

works great for no extra chemicals
It works very well and easy to use. Just like most toilet bowl cleaners just have to hold the bottle upside down and squeeze around the inside of the toilet. the smell is not very strong at all but has a small hint of mint. It does require a small amount of scrubbing to make sure it gets completely clean. when the cap is closed and lid is on tight it does not leak even if the bottle is upside down.

Meh..
Sacrifices are made when you go green. It's OK, took twice as much, and removed half the stains. Priced right I guess.

Works great, no harsh smell or unnecessary colors
I was hesitant to try a different brand but it works really well and doesn’t have that strong chemical smell. I’ll definitely be using this from now on.
