CT1 is possibly the best flexible adhesive you can buy. It has fast grab and can act as filler, sealant and adhesive.It can be hard to squeeze out with a skeleton gun, but if you put the tube on a radiator for half an hour it’s much easier.Even though it’s a flexible adhesive, if you stick timber with it, certainly with softwood, you’ll pull a thin layer of wood off before you get the adhesive off.You can use this instead of silicone and apparently it doesn’t yellow.It’s *very* sticky to apply so if you get it where you don’t want it, it will be extremely hard to remove. If you try to use it like silicone, you’ll struggle to get a very fine feathered edge.You can’t use the wet finger trick with this stuff, and it seems to stick to absolutely everything.Cleaning it up can be very tricky (use lots of kitchen roll and throw it away) so be very careful when you apply it.It’s easy to seal the nozzle for future re-use - far easier than Sikaflex EBT for example. Once sealed, you can use this pretty easily after a few months.The biggest risk with people using this is not being able to remove stuff once it has been glued. This is not adhesive you can use for temporary fixing.It’s expensive, but once something is glued - it stays fixed.

That it is easy to use and is much stronger than other mastik. Great for our conservatory

I had a problem with a leaking spigot at the back of a toilet and tried all the usual silicone stuff, even the expensive stuff did not cure it, despite me carefully cleaning and degreasing the area. You learn that basically silicone does not really adhere to any glazed surface like tiles or porcelain toilets etc. Although this CT-1 is pretty expensive I was desperate, and I have to say that I have been impressed, since I used it first ( about 6 years ago ) there has not been a drop of water from the spigot... Since I discovered CT-1 I have used it for many things inside and outside the house and never been disappointed - I got this batch to seal around the PVC fascia that I fitted to cover the wooden fascia on our house because I got fed up of painting the wood. .

Used to fit bathroom sink worked perfectly

These sealants have an extraordinarily high modulus and remarkable adhesion strength. However, I found that this product is not ideal for bathroom sealants since it rapidly becomes yellow and moldy.
