iGuerburn Belt Mount Clip for Garmin Montana 700i / 750i Handheld GPS (NOT for Other Models, Not for Vehicle)

The clip works great.... but the instructions are very poorIt took a minute to figure out how it worked.

This is great item, have had a little use by now. Fits the GPS perfectly and easy to holster the GPS.

Work as it designed for. Use when hiking.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this to clip to the straps on my backpacks ( a 28 L Gregory and a 45 L Vaude)—recognize it is advertised as belt clip. I have now used this clip on multiple hiking trips, including a recent 3 night / 4 day hike in the Italian Dolomites.The good: the clip that goes on the back of your Montana 7xxi GPS works very well and is very secure.The bad: the clip is not really designed for the thickness of a padded shoulder strap. Having read other reviews talking about how easy it was to either knock the GPS out of the clip or to have the clip unlock unexpectedly, I had a lanyard securing the GPS to my backpack in addition to this clip. I am very glad I did as I had both happen on my hiking trips—the GPS was knocked out of the clip while scrambling over some rocks, and the clip unexpectedly opened while hiking down a very steep hill. If I hadn’t had the lanyard attaching my GPS to my backpack, I might have lost my GPS.In addition, the locking mechanism doesn’t really lock—see the video above where the clip will open even when in the locked position. To prevent the clip from opening unexpectedly, I glued a Velcro strap to clip and tighten that around the clip. After installing the Velcro strip, no further issues with the clip unexpectedly opening.

If you like to lose your $700+ gps unit, you will love this product. When applying this to a belt, as soon as you move which is inevitable considering it is on your belt, the belt attachment will pop off assisting you in losing your $$$ gps. Now the way you fix this pos is buy putting tape on the bottom so it doesn't come off. I mean who knew you had to engineer a fix for a problem you shouldn't have on a product that you bought to help you keep your gps..... This world is amazing, basically like buying a brand new vehicle but you having to replace parts on it for it to run before you get if off the car lot....

I didn't buy this for my belt, but as a quick release attachment for the dashboard of my CanAm. I did a small adaptation for what I needed. It works great, and fits tightly no matter how much you're bouncing around.

I have used these type of belt clips with knife sheaths and they are made with better plastic/ polymers, I don’t expect this to hold up very long because it’s made with cheap brittle plastic, also the belt clamp is supposed to have 2 small plastic pieces to help with adjustment and holding it in place on your belt , this did not come with them, so they cheap out in two places, great idea but don’t waste your moneyGot a chance to use it today and I’m even more disappointed, the lock on it is really hard to engage and then it didn’t even work and my $$$$$ gps dang near hit the ground , not good!
