I bought these along with one of those door braces to use when my wife and I went on a trip last year. I wanted to strap a Claymore to the door as a force multiplier against hoodlums breaking in, but apparently Amazon doesn’t sell those. Unfortunately, I forgot all this stuff at home when we went on our trip. But when I played with them when they arrived on my door step, they worked as they were designed.

This was reasonably priced for peace of mind. It is a like a doorstop that slides a bit under most doors, with an extremely loud alarm to discourage any intruder. It cakes a battery. You can use it for home and travel! Best purchase ever!

For the latter, it can take some time (like a easy puzzle). Detaching is quick in case you need to get out of room due to a fire or window break intruder.Only works for doors that open inwards (doors that pull to open towards you)Door stop alarm works well. Much of what others are saying, it takes a lot of pressure to activate the alarm. I’ve experimented with all the sensitivity levels, and I can’t tell if it actually does anything. I feel that high sensitivity to pressure is important for the function of this particular device, so having a medium to low sensitivity was disappointing. The thing is definitely loud, I can hear it across my small house and when my door is shut, but if you’re multiple floors away with a box fan running you might not hear it. The rubber bottom grips my laminate and wood floors well to keep it from moving! One thing to watch for is definitely pay attention to the height of your door from the floor. I did not, unfortunately, so my door is too tall and goes right over the door stop, and I had to Jerry-rig a contraption involving securing the thing to a brick LOL. totally my bad, but it still works, so I count it as a win
