Works pretty good, hopefully I'll be using it next season for live race broad castings

Poor sound quality. Not good for any kind of professional application.
I found the sound quality to be so poor that I exchanged it for a new one only to find that same thing. The unit produces audible distortion of the sound. Also there is no description in any of the materials as to what kind of mini-plug output it has and what adaptor you would need to connect to a mixing board successfully. Is it stereo out (dual mono) is it just a mini balanced out? Based on our experiments, you'd need a mono/unbalanced miniplug to xlr, because an RTS mini to XLR did not work. Headphone output is barely audible. It may be a suitable device for recording on cellphone. I didn't try. But that distortion on the sound probably isn't going away. I tried adjusting the gain/volume. Tried many things. This is the first dud from Mackie I've ever experienced. But it is truly a dud. Spend the money and buy a better setup.

Budget Friendly is True
This is definitely a budget piece of equipment which isn't a bad thing once you are aware and comfortable with it's limitations.Cons:- no LCD screen for battery level and other info only a LED light which flashes based on battery percentage e.g. 2 blinks for 50% battery- the noise floor is very high so you hear a lot of static when the mic is simply on. You can clean this up in post production.Pros:- very small and neat- great price- looks high quality and compact

Bought 4 of these and none worked. Mackie Support basically blew me off
I bought 4 units at $149 each. None of them worked. Never worked even for a day. Mackie Support ignored me and stopped answering my emails altogether.

Can be very noisy in some situations with non-repairable drop-outs!
I just used this for one of our Sennheiser mics on a Reality TV Pilot and it worked great about 50% of the time. When it works it's fairly clean. HOWEVER... it will randomly drop out entirely which makes this unit very sketchy for professional film/TV production work. I lost nearly a dozen tracks due to unrecoverable dropouts. Our recorders are Zoom H6 and our mics are Sennheiser 416 and ME66 as well as Shure stick mics.We know this is problem is with the Mackie wireless system because our wired setups had absolutely NO PROBLEMS.So this unit can work but... beware.Gary O.

I bought this…what a junk…5ft range.
anything more than a height of human, further than 6ft, you lose the transmission and even within 5ft, you hear glitch noise, this is like 3ft range. what a joke.
