I've struggled for years to get a decent door chime solution for my wife's salon, with the common denominator being that I always got a door sensor-based solution for the problem. That's the kind where you put a piece on the door frame, and another on the door. I think there's a reed switch, a magnet, a transmitter, and a battery. Maybe because of the commercial doorframe fitment, those solutions were never as reliable as we needed them to be.All of that led me to the Fosmon WaveLink Door Chime Driveway Alarm Guard Wireless Motion Sensor (500 Feet, 58 Tunes, 5 Volume Levels, LED Indicators) Motion Detector Home/Business/Store Entrance Alert (1 Receiver + 2 Sensor). I mounted the sensor on an archway near the front door, and put the chime box about 40 feet down the hall. If my concerns with using a PIR-based solution were that there'd be false or missed alerts, I haven't seen any yet. Further, I love that the unit uses AAA batteries, which are more convenient and economical for me than CR2032s that previous solutions have used.If I have any issues, like poor battery life, I'll update this review with my findings. For now, though, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Highly Recommended

This Fosmon Wavelink 51054HOM does do what it's supposed to - alert you if somebody comes near your doors. What I like: The reception range works very well. I have a 2800 sf two story house with a transmitter at my front door and two transmitters on each end of my back lanai and the receiver in my bedroom on the house's back wall and it picks up all three signals just fine. Set up is super easy when you read the instructions. Despite what some other reviewers say, you can program each transmitter to give a different chime or song so you can differentiate which transmitter is triggering. Also, the settings do stay if the receiver is unplugged. There are many chimes and songs to choose from and as others stated, most of them are silly that you won't want to use. The highest volume of the receiver is ok, but I think it could still be a little louder as sometimes it's a little hard to hear depending on where you are in the house. Now for what I don't like: The transmitters trigger frequently for no reason at all either on windy days or simply when the sun shines on them. When placing them, you really have to be careful that is sees NOTHING that moves when the wind blows. I placed my transmitter on the side of my front door looking across the door at the adjacent wall of the house so that it didn't view the bushes, and it still triggers occasionally when the sun is shining on it. To get around this problem, I had to place the receiver on a timer to turn off in the morning when the sun comes up and have the timer turn back on after the sun goes down to keep this thing from annoying me all day long which defeats the purpose of having it. There is no setting to reduce the sensitivity of the transmitters. Another issue is the transmitters are advertised to be water proof which seems impossible being you have an on/off switch and a micro usb port on them which will easily let in water. Also, the battery cover does not go on very tight which also will allow in water. I plan on wrapping cellophane around the back of the transmitters to keep them water tight. Overall I like them as I feel safer at night that nobody will come near my doors when I'm sleeping but not having it on during the daytime so I will know when packages are delivered due to the false ringing is a disappointment. Time will tell how long these will hold up and I will update this review accordingly.

Supposedly, you can select different output sounds. No matter what I selected, it always went back to the default "Ding-Dong" sound. I decided to settle for the default sound, thinking that it was better than nothing. Ater about 15 minutes I got nothing. It seems the receiver quit receiving signals from either of the two transmitters. THEN... I was unable to return the defective item. Of course, my refund was pending the return of the defective item. I made four trips to the UPS Store with three different Amazon-generated QR codes. The codes would scan, but the transaction would not go through. Amazon finally (after two chat sessions with Customer Service) came through with a refund. I don't know if the issue with the return was with Amazon or the seller, but previous to this, I've never had any problem with Amazon with returns and refunds.

We placed this in the light on the front porch. The receiver was placed in the back of our house. The alarm goes off when ever someone is on the front porch! No more missed packages! Anyone steps on the porch I hear an alarm and run to the front door. I love this alarm! East to set up and works well. This was so worth the investments.

When I first got this, it was PERFECT. I have an elderly father who lives with us, and I need to know when he's gotten up. It was great... until it wasn't. When it started going bad, it was only working intermittently. This was one month after purchase. Then it stopped making sound altogether. Checked the batteries in the motion sensor, they're fine, but the chime itself (the receiver) just stopped playing any sound at ALL. It lights up, as does the motion sensor. But plays nothing. I went to the manufacturer's website, watched the instruction video for reset, but nothing worked. No sound plays from the receiver. I feel seriously upset by this. I watched and followed directions on the video three or four times, but there was no sound even after reset. Lots of pretty blinking lights, no sound. It's now utterly useless. More plastic trash in the world. Such a bummer.
