I needed some taps fast, and nothing locally had Metric taps. They work, and that's all I needed.

Threads look pretty good under magnification. The taps do have an oil coating to prevent rusting. These taps will get you out of a quick jam, yet do not recommend for large scale production especially on steels.

If these suit your requirements, they are a good buy, a good quality find!

Taps are fine but the packaging could have been better.

I bought this selection of tiny metric taps and the larger metric taps from the same supplier. I haven't tried them out yet but they seem well made and OK for my traveling tool kit. Problem is that they are packed loose in a small poly bag and they can rub and bang against each other in the soft bubble shipping pouch. Not good for hardened cutting edges. The smallest 1MM tap arrived broken but a replacement set was sent out right away and I returned the original set. A small piece of folded cardboard would have protected them better but I can't complain at this price point.

This set did what I needed and that's all I can say. Idk if they are for metal or not but I used them for 3/8in brass and it was fine. I went extra slow to make sure but they seem high quality to me.
