Heed the reviews don't purchase this product.
I wish I would have listened to all the bad reviews. Not worth the money and does not work. Is really unsafe as well. It is such a poor product I can't belive I have to pay 57 dollars to ship it back.

Compressed spring tool for Can-Am X3 XRS RR Shock Replacement
Overall the tool worked well for changing the springs on my Can-Am X3 XRS RR. I was worried at first as the box arrived damaged with half the compressor hanging out of the side. The manufacture needs to make much needed improvements to that area. Installation is simple as the vertical post is threaded like a giant bolt in to the base. There is a bracket mounted on the arm that the shock rest on which I removed because it wouldn't work right with that on for me. The bolts that were installed were loose, so tighten everything up well before use. There were not any instructions in the packaging. The rotating arms simply screw into place. Easy install. The front shocks were replaced first. The bolt that connects the two sides of the clamps just barely reaches to lock in the clamp. Never doing this before but very cautious of potential injury from comprising a spring, I learned on my first shock, not to raise the arm to max height to compress the spring. I found that it did work, but was difficult to release it off the spring because the spring needed to lift higher now since it wasn't compressed anymore. On the other springs, I went to max height, then down a few turns before I latched onto the spring and the release went perfect. Now, the rear springs are much larger in diameter than the fronts and the clamp would not reach around the shaft. I closed it as much as I could then used a ratchet strap to go around the clamp as the bolt does, then around the vertical shaft to hold the clamp together and keep the shock from able to kick out.So, yes you can purchase less expensive separate spring compressors but if not done properly you can really get hurt. This was a safer way for me and much less expensive than sending off to have Shock Therapy perform the work.Hope this review and little instruction helps someone out there!

Not suitable for struts
I would imagine this will work for shocks just fine, but it does not hold a strut securely in place.Yesterday while compressing a strut, the arm snapped off and sent compressed parts flying all over my garage and nearly took me out. I luckily only got a scratch on my arm from flying debris.I emailed the company with no response. No simple apology, no sort of concern. Nothing. Upon inspection, the metal where it snapped is porous and looks like metal styrofoam.Highly do not reccomend.

works fair
takes a LOT of force on the lever but so far it’s held up fine

Do not buy! Broke after putting it together. Box was damaged and missing parts.
After I put it together (it was missing nuts for some of the bolts) I lowered it and it will not come back up again. Didn't even get to use it. Now I am inconvenienced with having to ship it back to get my money refunded. A complete waste of my time.

Typical and what you would expect I suppose
Box was destroyed in shipment. Missing some small parts and absolutely no instructions. Not sure what else I expected but will figure it out.

It will not work with shock reserve
If you have the shock reserve canister this will not work

Not at all quality made
Box was totally trashed when it was delivered. The part that screwed into the base was all dented. The holes for the handles we’re not even threaded so we couldn’t even screw them in and use it. Will be returning. Not quality made at all, very disappointing.
