great biscuit joiner for the money
Needed a joiner to put a wood counter top together and never used one before, Bought this one cause I may only use it once and didnt want to spend a bunch on one. This thing worked great and was very easy to use and learn how to adjust. great biscuit joiner for the money

A very good value for a hobbyist.
I bought this for an upcoming project. I've been a woodworking hobbyist for 50 years but have never felt a strong enough need for a biscuit joiner until now. After 1 practice cut on a piece of scrap, I tried it out on a a small project (6 biscuits - see pic for context) and found it much easier to use than I had feared. It came set up almost perfect for placing the biscuit in the middle of a 3/4" board, which is what I will need for my big project. I didn't measure how accurate the 90° setting was out of the box, but it was plenty close enough for the biscuits to work perfectly. All that was required was to clamp the pieces securely, and the rest was really quite easy ... the tool cut cleanly and smoothly, and I never felt like there was any danger of a kick-back. I will state, however, that I followed the advice of another reviewer here and bought a CMT blade with it, so I can't speak to the quality of the stock blade. I'm very pleased with my purchase ... I assume it won't be as robust as the models costing $100 more (and up), but I believe it's going to be a very good tool for someone like me who won't need it very often.

Good for beginners - the guide is just so-so
This is a pretty good saw for the beginner. It comes well packaged, with everything included in the case. I thought the case was well designed, making it possible to easily fit the saw and accessories back into the case quite easily. It's definitely an entry level saw though, mostly because of the guide, which is not particularly intuitive, or accurate as other joiners that I've seen, like some of the older craftsman models. The cuts were accurate, but the using saw-guide will definitely require practice to get any kind of accuracy.

Great value
Great product, no issues at all. I have used it to join more than a few boards, and the biscuits that came with it work perfect to allow alignment and Perfect position. More than happy with it

Good price point.
Tackling my first wood building projects and this was a great product for the price point starting out. Used it for a couple of my countertop glue ups and the co-planer surface between the boards is perfect. As others have mentioned the dust bag collector gets clogged easily so recommend just hooking it up to a shop vac with the right size adjustment. Also went ahead and replaced the blade with another one that another review mentioned (CMT 240.008.04 Biscuit Joiner Blade, 4-Inch Diameter x 8 Teeth, PTFE-Coated.) just to avoid any issues.Used #20 biscuits from another source (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B082349WRP?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image) which these seem thicker than the ones provided with the tool. These biscuits made for a tight fit and did a great job aligning the boards.Update: For my first cabinet and wood countertop I am pleased with these tools and how it’s turned out so far. Worth the money for entry level projects.
