Bar Code - Excellent
this is a great bar code and we are really pleased with it in the decorators shop

It doesn't really do "date time" stamps, but otherwise pretty good, reliable, fast etc.
The way it does dates and times is just by prefixing or suffixing the key entry with a shortcut that should tell excel or word to insert the current date or time - it doesn't actually record the date or time. Also, on a Mac excel, it doesn't actually display the time; just the date. Apart from that though, a pretty good quick, reliable 1d + 2d scanner.

Good Product
Have recently received a few of the HW0007 model scanners and am quite happy with what I've seen. My experience is with two alternative brands - one was a little match-box sized scanner that was terrible, andanother was with a similar designed product that was decent.I think this is my best scanner yet. It has a stand that it can wirelessly communicate with (so you can essentially connect these scanners to anything with a USB port). I also believe they have bluetooth support although I haven't used that yet.In terms of features, it has a few decoding types (so different barcodes are supported), it has different output types (so you can store the codes and then upload in one go, or you can immediately transmit as you scan). It also has a flashlight essentially next to the reader so being in a dark corner isn't an issue. Scanner seems quite fast and I haven't failed to scan a code yet.To be honest I'm not really sure what else to add - they have a three year warranty, otherwise they just seem to be good scanners. Bit annoyed though because I went to their site to get the manual and realized they do bulk discounts which would've helped with the quantity I got but oh well.

Doesn't support UK English keyboard layout?
Using this to scan QR codes that could have any characters in them. I have found it will scan very small codes well, but the default language is US English, and as the picture shows there is no code in the manual to change it to UK English. This is important as the scanner works by emulating a keyboard, so effectively you are connecting a US keyboard to your computer and codes you scan are interpreted as originating from that keyboard. For example, scan a code containing an email address and the @ will come out as " and a £ as #. This may not be a problem for you if you are aware of it and can work around it. I've emailed Tera and hope to get a reply from them offering an easy way to fix this though. The product code on the box is Tera HW0007-BT-UK and the picture in the description shows a UK flag in the supported languages so I'm hoping that they have imported a batch of incorrectly labelled product with the wrong firmware in it, or the wrong user manual, and that the proper UK version would support the UK layout. I've also downloaded the manual from their website though and there is only that one available, so don't hold out much hope. We also bought a Tera 1100D scanner that does support UK English, so alternatives are available that work correctly from them and these also work very well, scanning very small barcodes that are impossible to read with normal low definition scanners.
