It's such a time saver
This little machine is a real marvel. I have a large complicated lawn which used to take me 3 hrs to mow and would fill 2 green recycle bins with each cut, but now this little machine does most of it for me. It took a while to install the wire and 'base' - it wasn't difficult just time consuming - and now I watch the little machine do the work for me. I like the lawn fairly long so it's set on 40 mm and it gives an even cut and looks really good. I still have to mow the edges and between the trees but it takes 30 mins so that's a huge saving of my time and I don't have heavy grass baskets to carry to the bins. On the first cut it ran for about 90 minutes before returning to its base to recharge, but now the lawn is all one length it cuts for 150 mins before it needs a re-charge. Just brilliant, I wish I'd got one years ago.

Brilliant!
I didn’t realize before I bought this that the best thing about the mower is that it makes the lawn look neat and short and well looked after all year round!

One of the most frustrating purchases ever made
I'll start with the positive, after Amazon intervened the seller refunded in full. However all this took from 23rd April until 9th May to get this done.I messaged on 23rd April (day of installation by my professional handyman - ALSO an electrician - at a cost of £50 to me). I received 'ticket response' and a human reply in just over 24 hours - this continued for days, with one occasion waiting 48 hours for a response. The reps for Cleva were polite - BUT kept telling me it was installed incorrectly hence the wifi light not working. I sent pictures showing he had installed it correctly! Then I was told once error light 1 was sorted, they would send me a new battery (the battery error light), then once that was sorted; error light 3 - they would tell me how to sort this. After being told it was my handyman's error, I decided to ask to send it back - I contacted Amazon because I received a response telling me to 'check this and that' and ignoring my request to return it. Amazon sent a request for it to returned - ignored. I received yet another message requesting information/photos./videos - 'please send these videos via Whatsapp and quote order number, which I did. Then after 24 hours I get a message asking for my mobile number to trace the Whatsapp message!- why not ask for that instead of the order number in the first place then?Again, after 48 hours I contacted Amazon for it to be returned - ignored. I then sent more photos showing this mower from every flipping angle possible and after 48 hours contacted Amazon again - they raised a claim against Cleva for it to be returned. I then received a message with a label. After dispatching it and notifying them of the tracking number, the refund has been received 24 hours later, so that was quick - but it took from 23rd April - 8th May to receive the label and hours and hours of my time to get to this point. In the meantime because the wires were laid the lawn couldn't be mown with a traditional mower, so I was having to use a strimmer to keep it under control - SO much time and effort for something that is supposed to reduce work.A brand new mower out of its box and it had 3 separate errors?!!! AND it cost me £50 to install which obviously I didn't get back - and then I had to go round and take it all up again - another hour of my wasted time.I have never felt such relief to get rid of this albatross when I dropped it at the Post Office.

Really quiet when running
Really pleased with the mower. Took a bit of thinking to get it set up but once up and running, really can’t fault it. Cuts well and works fantastically well on the lawn. Was worried about the cuttings going back into the lawn but it’s such a small amount of cuttings, that there are no issues at all.The dogs were a bit suspicious of it at first, especially as it ran into one of them while he was sunbathing, but they have learned quickly to keep out of the way when it’s running. It’s also really quiet, so you could run this late in the evening if needed. All in all, cracking buy and will definitely be a time and energy saver for our family.

Worth it's weight in gold - how did I manage without this little gem!
I've been waiting for a full hip replacement for at least 5 years now and I have struggled to mow the lawn for the last year but pushed through the pain until I can't cope any more.I had no idea robotic lawnmowers existed until i googled (good old Google!) automatic hoovers and it bought lawnmowers up to, bingo!!!After looking at countless different ones this little gem of a mower came up top trumps with the sheer amount of amazing reviews it had all over the Internet and the fact so many people said it worked great on lumpy bumpy and sloping gardens!I highly recommend this little super star as its so easy to set up and use so don't be daunted by the set up of the boundary wire or how to program it, its so easy!I put the little beast on charge while I put the boundary wire down so it was ready to rock and roll when I'd finished!Like many reviews say, you don't need to leave 30cm between the edge and the wire as that's being too cautious and leaves more to have to be strimmed, I left it at about 20cm and have adjusted along the way where I can see it can go closer.I did like the instructions said and made detours to trees and put the wire round and back to the outer edge again but I have since realised I'd have been better off not to have taken the wire round them as the mower leaves quite a gap round them so i have put the wire right up close to the trees now as I didn't want to have to cut the wire to remove it and reconnect back at the boundary. The mower is clever enough to know that if it touches an object it will stop and turn round and it does get much closer to the trees without putting the wire round them.Robin (that's what it had been named to due autocorrect changing robot to Robin!) trundles round the garden with ease making no issue of the slope or bumps whatsoever and when he needs to recharge his batteries (don't we all!) he trundles back to his docking station, recharges and off he goes again until his shift is over for the day.I have let Robin mow the lawn and do his own thing for two weeks now and I have absolutely no negative comments whatsoever....apart from the fact its so addictive to watch!!!The rain sensor is brilliant in that if it starts to rain he will trundle back to his docking station to have a duvet day for the remainder of the day and will start mowing again the next day.Just as a disclaimer I don't let my dog in the garden with Robin unsupervised (even though they get on and share the garden like best friends!) just in case Robin decides Riley might need a hair cut as he doesn't have a sensor to warn pets to move away unlike some more expensive models do but to be honest you can let Robin mow the lawn at whatever rime you set him off and he will be done 4, 6 or 8 hours later depending on what time you think is best for your size of garden. It is extremely quiet so you could even set it to mow overnight without annoying our neighbours and you and your pooch wake up to a perfectly manicured lawn!Oh and just in case you are wondering the grass is mulched so is put back onto the lawn (which I have read is very good for your lawn!) and you don't even notice as its such tiny bits of grass, it's almost as if it vanishes like magic! This doesn't have an app to manage it like some do but to be honest I don't feel it needs one as it's so simple and easy to use. You just start the mower going and it will set itself off at the same time every day, or every other day. I run it for 4 hours every day in the afternoon so it trundles round and is finished when I finished work.I honestly can't recommend this little beauty highly enough!Oh yes and one more tip that I found helpful in other reviews is that when you are laying the boundary wire it needs to be run anticlockwise round the garden starting at the charging end of the docking Station and the wire starting at that end needs to be connected into the red connection point, the wire that you feed under the docking station to connect in at the charging end needs to go into the black connection, if you get it the wrong way round you will confuse the poor thing and it won't work!Happy sitting in your garden watching mesmerised by your mower working its magic!
