Turns out the sound does work perfectly.
Although I originally thought that the sound didn't work, it turns out it was my TV glitching out. The product works as advertised and I'm there for required to tell you that is great. Sorry.

Works perfectly for Perfect Dark, but my TV wont show Mario Kart 64
Sound works for Mario Kart, but I can't see anything. Perfect Dark worked perfect however! Because there is clearly issues with some games, as much as it is handy, I have to give 3 stars.Edit: After checking again, it seems I was using a PAL game when I should have been using NTSC. After I used the correct one, the game worked as expected. Keep this in mind!

Works perfectly for the N64!
The media could not be loaded. It works flawlessly as intended! Was able to play my N64 and GoldenEye on my 100” TV 28 years later!

Classics in HD
The product is fantastic; it is an answer to a problem I have been having for a few years. My new LG 4k does not like my older games, notably my SNES and N64, using the av cables. I do not play the SNES as much, since most have been brought back to the Nintendo Switch. However, I have been playing my N64, especially Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2. During transitions from battles, the screen would go black and I would have to switch to HDMI 1 and then back to AV to get the screen to come back. Thanks to this amazing product, I no longer have to do that. The screen is very clear and looks great! I could not give it a 5/5 because of one thing: now and then it switches from clear to blurry. I do not know why it does that but it will seldom. Once I unplug and restart it returns to a clear screen.

Perfect for casual gamers
I would highly recommend this to a casual gamer, but this is not perfect. I'm an avid gamer, and I'm always going to have gripes about aftermarket products, but that being said this product was absolutely worth the money. If you truly want the best graphics without any drawbacks, you'll want to invest in a modded N64 or a framemeister. For the price, I think this is as good as it gets.Pros:-super affordable-no noticable lag-basically plug and play-The 16:9 - 4:3 scaling is wonderful for the price, I couldn't find anything on Amazon that'd beat it.Cons:-picture quality is great, but not perfect, you're gonna have slight artifacting (nothing you'll see unless you're trying to look for it. Definitely doesn't hinder play)-scaling is wonderful, but youre going to have black bars on the edge of your screen (duh, I know)In conclusion, if you just wanna relive some nostalgia on your smart TV, or share your childhood with some kiddos, this is your product. If you wanna stream/record gameplay or you're trying to become a professional Smash player, you would be better off splurging a few hundred dollars on some better equipment. For the price, this is as good as I've seen.

Don't waste your time with this
Doesn't work without an upscaling unit, and the directions are in Engrish. Tried multiple TVs/monitors, some get absolutely no response, others just say "no input" with a blue screen. Changing the resolution from 16:9 to 4:3 doesn't make a difference. N64 confirmed working with a standard CRT and OEM AV cords, this thing is just cheap junk that's changing the analog output to digital but not taking into account any of the compression or resolution differences to make it actually work without an upscaling device that you could just use without this cord entirely. The directions also never mention why there is a mini-USB power adapter involved, the only troubleshooting offered is to clean the input headers... like duh, but that's not the issue

Quick and correct.
Got it quick and it worked like it should. My 64 bit graphics are now as HD as they will ever be. :)Thank you.

You get what you order, a cheap product
If you dont care about things like audio and input lag, and just want a cheap solution then you get what you order. A cheap product. This thing does not do everything it claims, and it is also a bit sketchy. If you look at the images they put for the product, it shows people playing super nintendo games on an ique. Indicating this is an illegitimate chinese product put together with no care. For those who dont know, ique is a chinese n64, the entire console is in the controller. If you look in the images they put on here themselves, you will see that is not a normal n64 controller. They had bans on video games when the n64 came out. Now, its not a horrible product. But it was clearly designed to make a quick buck off of people who dont know much about these sorts of things.Technical issues and things it doesnt do:It has problems with the audio, which they mention, but even their solution doesnt work all the time. My main problem is it doesnt maintain proper audio levels or stereo audio most of the time. The video is definitely not upscaled at all, if so not high enough for modern tvs. I think this is just supposed to be a pass through for tvs that no longer have the ports for the cables you get with an n64. Which is not how its advertised.Overall, my recommendation is to stay away from this product. But, if you do not have $100 laying around to purchase the other solutions out there, this can suffice. But you will certainly find yourself wishing you spent the extra money.
