Works Great!
This is a great product! I was looking for something to thicken uncooked homemade salad dressings. Just a tiny bit (1/4 tsp.) does the trick: it is tasteless but thickens salad dressing to have a slightly more gelatinous consistency that sticks to lettuce and other vegetables, rather than running straight to the bottom of the bowl. While it starts to thicken within an hour, it will continue to set up over the course of a day, even when refrigerated. (I first didn't think it was going to work, so I added more fairly quickly -- that was a mistake! Allow a minimum of 24 hours before deciding whether to add more.)My husband likes vinaigrette but is leery of trying new things. However, I suggested we add a bit to his dressing, too, and he reluctantly agreed to try it. That night at dinner, without any further reminders or prompting, he immediately noticed how much better his dressing coated the lettuce leaves of his salad without changing the taste. He held up his salad bowl with amazement and glee to show me that, instead of a large puddle of wasted dressing at the bottom, his bowl was virtually clean! The package opens completely across the top, making it easy to dip in a measuring spoon, and reseals, making it very convenient to store. Although the price may seem high, since one uses such a small amount each time, it is really quite economical and will last a very long time.It arrived quickly and securely packaged from the seller. I am very satisfied.

Does what it’s meant to do!
We wanted to transition to a less carb heavy way of eating. After looking up some recipes I decided to give this a try to help thicken up foods. I first used this on a beef stew. I was scared to try this because I wasn’t sure how to use it. I Cooked my food and I slowly added some until I got to the desired thickness. It worked perfectly. It has zero taste and it does thicken up your liquids, it is a different texture than using cornstarch or premixed stew thickeners but it’s a good substitute. If you add too much, your food will become jelly like, so move slow. Add a little, mix, wait a minute to see how it thickens your sauce up and repeat as needed. But I do recommend this if you are needing something to thicken up your foods.

Perfect for Hot Sauce
Exactly what I was looking for. So here is the deal. I love to make hot sauce, but every time i make it, the stuff separates, no matter what I do. Looked at some of the hot sauce labels and a lot of them say Xanthan Gum. So figured worth a shot. Had some separated hot sauce from last week, and decided to use 1/2 tsp. of this stuff. Read many blogs on line as well and some folks use it, but they don't say how. You can't sprinkle it into heated hot sauce (found out the hard way) Its just like any thickener will clump up. You can't put it into cold water like you would corn starch, same thing clumps up. But i noticed it immediately the water starts to gel. So what ya have to do is put it into the blender (not if its hot, that would make a mess), and blend about 1/4 tsp. per half quart. Possibly add a little more if you don't like the thickness. Then let it sit, check thickness and add tiny bit more. My sauce is still thickened and I am very happy with it. This time i used a little to much, will use the 1/4 tsp and go from there next time. It has no flavor and is all natural so no harm no foul. I don't sell the stuff just give it away so it is all good. All in all, just what I was looking for.

Great for the more watery protein shakes
Gave Judee's Xanthan Gum a whirl to thicken up my usually watery whey protein shakes, and it did the trick! Just a little bit turned my shake into a richer, more enjoyable drink. Simple product, but a big difference! Good stuff.Gave flavor 5 star but there really is no flavor. Also, mixing this is a bit difficult, you may need to have a blender for this. I tried it with a shaker bottle and while it works it requires some work.

This Is A Great Tool
I’m on a liquids-and-puréed-foods diet for the foreseeable future and this stuff is magical!!I can take a protein shake out of the fridge, toss a teaspoon of this in a latte mug with a bit of sweetener and the stick blender blends it into a 120 calorie, 20 grams of protein pudding. The only thing is that the amount has to be watched because too much and it’s a thick sludge. THAT I just put some into a mug with milk, yogurt and vanilla protein powder and ZIP!! Smoothie!! Great stuff this!!
