Encourages a passion for adventure in anyone who’s curious!.. Brilliant
This book appealed to us as an outdoorsy nature loving family who has always homeeducated, my children learn from following their passions, adults, teenagers and under all enjoy this book on different levels, the illustrations are really beautiful and very detailed with plenty of scope for many many discussions on various subjects for anyone with an imagination as well as tips, ideas to try. It ignites a thirst with the younger ones to learn more, encourages curiosity, adventure and teaches skills in danger of being forgotten in this modern world. We love this book it’s one we shall treasure, refer to and use for a very long time. Worth every penny and highly recommend for all ages and abilities.

The perfect book, full of experiences to share with your children
This beautiful book is dense with information, stories and ideas to bring out the sense of adventure in even the most indoorsy of us.It's perfect to read with your children, with plenty to dip into and try over the years at different stages of their childhood - whether it's camping in the backgarden or what to pack for the perfect explorer's kit, or even how to poo in the wild! It's also full of the most lovely illustrations.I shall be buying this as a gift for friends with kids and can see it being an essential read and important part of learning to love and enjoy experiencing the natural world.

Brought out my inner adventurer
I bought several copies of this great book, handed out to adults and children, we loved the illustrations, the story and the instructions were easy to follow.Evoked our imagination, and brought us closer as a family, my children are 6 and 15 so finding activities that we can share together isn’t always easy .At a time where children want screens it’s been great to get back into nature and make dens, whittle wood, make fires, we are collecting bottles to make a raft, a much better use of plastic right?

They do make them like they used to.
Your child, or your inner child, will love this magical book, evocative of a bygone age of adventure and dering-do in the great outdoors. If the dynamic, dramatic illustrations and imaginative (sometimes scatalogical!) details don’t make you want to switch off your laptop or mobile and dive into a real life adventure of your own, nothing will.
