Telecaster Delight!
I was looking for a nice gold finish Telecaster style bridge & control setup for a recent build, and the Alnicov set was the perfect choice. First of all, it's visually very attractive and came nicely packaged and ready to use. I measured the coil resistance for the bridge and neck pickups at 9.0 K and 8.5 K respectively, which means they are "hotter" than stock Tele pickups which run around 5.0 K to 6.5 K. Component quality and soldering are first rate. For my build, I found the intonation adjust screws & springs too short, and I used 3.0 mm x 25 mm screws (modified to 18 mm long), plus 0.4 mm x 4 mm x 15 mm stainless steel springs to get the proper range. All in all, I'm very pleased, and this guitar sounds powerful, well defined, and balanced with these pickups. I'd definitely recommend this Alnicov set for the experienced builder.

Watch for hole alignments and the lack of clear wiring instructions.
This is a beautiful product but does not always match the alignment of an existing bridge, neck pickup or volume and pickup switch alignment. Also, you will want to know that the Strings are not added through the back but through small holes behind the bridge screws. If you use strings (such as the Fender "Original Bullets") you will have a string end potentially sticking out of the bridge gear. There is a lot of "setup" required once installation is done, making sure the bridge string alignment and distance for intonation is adjusted. Also the height of the pickups will be essential to get volume balance for each string. If you not familiar with Wiring a pickup - this could be a challenge with the existing pictures. There was no wire guide in the box I received.

Good not great
Pros:- Price; looks in general- Cloth wrapped wiringCons (Quality):- Diecast metal bridge arrived bent- String holes were plugged with electroplating/paint- Sound: Picups are hot; neck pickup is very microphonic- Bridge pickup finish has bubbles/pock marks and looks crappyI bought these to put into a cheap project guitar which is fine, given it was my first guitar build. I wouldn't put these in a more serious project. Perfect for a wall hanger/decoration guitar. You definitely get what you pay for here.

Very good for the price
I tested this set on stage on live gigs, and they did not disappoint. From clean tones to high gain and heavy sounds, this pickup set meets the expectations.

This product has GREAT pickups.
I installed this product on a new build that I recently assembled and the pickups sound better than my other american made tele from Fender. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a great sounding tele build!!

Look and sound great. Quality can be hit or miss.
I ordered this set (in silver) last year and it worked great and sounded great. I bought this set for a new build and, once it was completed, I had no sound in any position of the switch but, I did get sound between the switch positions. I used 2000 grit sandpaper to polish the switch contacts and that fixed that issue but the bridge pickup stayed on in every position of the switch. I finally bought a different switch and replaced it. The new switch also needed the contacts cleaned but, the guitar performed correctly then. I wrote this review in case others experienced the same issue.
