I bought a new backpack which doesn’t have a sternum strap build in, but does have webbing on the shoulder straps. Most ‘add-on’ chest straps either seem to loop around the shoulder straps, which I didn’t like the look of, or were for shoulder straps with vertical webbing. Although probably not its intended use, this fits perfectly on the horizontal webbing of my bag to add a chest strap, and looks almost as if it came with the bag.I may even have to buy some more to convert my backpack into a ‘skate pack’ to carry my skateboard, as the bag also has the provisions to attach two straps onto the back.The listing wasn’t overly clear, so was a nice surprise to receive two straps instead of the one that I was expecting. They feel well made and sturdy, so no concerns about them being fit for purpose. Really easy to attach and remove so I could even store them in my bag when not in use.

This does ned the right sort of loop on your rucsack (or whatever) to attach to.

If you are thinking of getting these to go on a Wandrd bag as you don’t want to pay for their ones then they work/fit. I have these on a Stratus backpack but can not see why they wouldn’t work on any of their other bags.I wanted these so I could attach a jumper/jacket to the outside for an upcoming trip, especially if the jacket got wet so I didn’t have to put it inside the bag when wet.Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the buckles are on opposite sides. You could have both on same side but then the gatekeepers would be upside down.

Very useful straps, bought as replacement as I lost my original ones, my main criticism of these is how easy they can become unclipped from the bag when they aren't being used to secure things down.Several times the clips will unhook themselves from the bag as they are only being kept attached by a small pressure release clip

These fitted onto my Lowepro backpack and provide additional tie down space, ideal, in my case, for strapping clothing layers onto the rear of the pack. recommended.
