A controller that rivals 1st parties
This is an amazing controller that said I will get the few negatives out of the way all of them are software related1.) no iOS compatibility it works for Mac but not for iOS it used to and if you look at all the reviews it may say it does but to be clear the current firmware for these controllers does not have iOS compatibility2.) not quite perfect switch interface the controller cannot turn on the switch and you still have to sync it every time you play it does remember the switch and you don’t have to set it like you did the first time but you do have to hit the sync button in order to get it going but this is to be expected of a third-party Now for the positives1.) Quality feel this isn’t cheap plastic this isn’t some cheap knock off this is high quality original Nintendo type build. The buttons feel great the joysticks are amazing and the D pad which is probably why everyone is buying this is phenomenal they fixed the issues with the original SN30 pros Where the D pad could sometimes register an accidental diagonal there are some YouTube fixes for it if it’s still an issue for some people but to be clear for the G classic and SN classic designs the D pad is better2.) Very low lag times hardly noticeable no worse than a Nintendo joy con3.) 8bitdo itself, they are constantly updating firmware most recently they fixed in issue with multiple controllers causing lag and interface. They respond quickly to questions. Seriously this is a good company not a Chinese company stereotype we have here in the U.S.Playing with this controller it makes me long for the Super Nintendo days using this controller makes me wonder why Nintendo ever gave up this style it’s just perfect. There’s a reason why PlayStation has stuck with this design, it is amazing sure the Xbox design is great as well but in my opinion that’s more for first person shooters every other game I think benefits from the PlayStation or original Super Nintendo controller format. Is this better than a Nintendo pro controller? No, except for the D pad if judging by the d-pad only this controller is superior to almost every first party controller out there and being much cheaper than pro controllers, it’s a great value.

Fantastic controller for both Switch and PC
This controller is fantastic. It feels so much like the original SNES controller that I keep forgetting it's not an actual Nintendo product. I've been using it for both my Switch and my PC. It took me a while to update the firmware (which was necessary to connect to the Switch) and figure out how to connect it to my devices (it's a slightly different process for each system), but once I got it done, it was able to connect easily and hop between my two systems flawlessly. All of the setup information is readily available on 8Bitdo's website. The only downside I've noticed so far is Steam registers the controller as an Xbox One controller, meaning the face buttons are switched around (A is B, B is A, same with X and Y). It's pretty easy to fix in the Steam settings though, and it's equally easy to just get used to it.Overall, I love this controller so far and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a cheaper alternative to the Switch Pro Controller or just loves the feel of the original SNES controller.

Top Notch
If you are looking for classic console gaming, virtual console, and/or emulator wireless bluetooth controller, look no further. 8bitdo's controllers feel as good as the originals, and with the few minor cosmetic differences, look as good as the originals. The controller: The SN30 (and it's counter part SF30) feel great. The buttons are very responsive, no apparent lag in wireless mode, and with the firmware update it works with the Nintendo Switch. It does however lack a second set of shoulder buttons and sticks so if you wanted to use as a second pro controller for the Switch, I'd recommend the Pro versions, if the game you want to play needs the extra buttons and sticks. They also work on the old NES, SNES, and NES/SNES Classic, but they require adapters, made by 8bitdo. I've tested it with a few platformers and SNES Classic games and it all works as intended. The battery is really long lasting as well, coupled with a MicroUSB charger port, making it easy to charge. The only issue I encountered has been the synching process. You better keep the manual that comes with it, because for each system 8bitdo's controllers can connect to, there is a different button combination to boot up and synch. Outside of that, the controllers connect to just about anything that has a Bluetooth connection from Windows to Android. The case: It's a nice little semi hard case for the controller. It is little though, only able to fit the controller and maybe a cable or some game cards, not much else. Still, good quality case, so it's a nice bonus.

Great Old school feel with all the modern features needed for current gen games!
This controller is fantastic! I ordered it for a few reasons. First, although I really like the joycon controllers for handheld mode, I wanted something else when my switch was docked. I thought about getting a Pro controller but I wanted a controller that featured a great D pad in the prominent position for the left thumb. Second, if you had a SNES and liked those controllers this is basically the updated version. It feels great! I play a lot of games like Hollow Knight & Dead Cells so having the D-pad in the location it is was great. I was really surprised how much I like the analog sticks. I have both a switch and PS4, if you like the spacing and placement of the analog sticks on a PS4 controller you will be right at home with the SN 30 Pro. It works great on games like Zelda as well. If you are looking for a great controller that feels old school but has all the modern features needed for current gen games I think you will love the SN 30 Pro

Works flawless with Nintendo Switch
Bought as a wireless controller for my Nintendo Switch and I could not be happier. It works better than i thought, it gives that nostalgic feel to all your games and works perfect for all the classic games as well. Having a controller with a solid D-pad and extra buttons is perfect for my needs. I recommend adding this to your Switch, whether you use it at home or more importantly on the go.
