 My 7-year-old grandson’s room is filled with toys that sing, dance or scoot across the floor. They came that way right out of the box. All he or his parents had to do was insert batteries and flip a switch.I wanted him to have a toy that would let him create something straight from his imagination. That’s why I bought this set of magnetic building blocks. These blocks are a step up from the snap-together blocks he played with as a toddler. They have just enough technology to be a big boy’s toy that puts engineering concepts within his grasp.The set includes almost 100 square and triangle pieces that have embedded magnets that allow the pieces to be easily snapped together. You also get two sets of wheels and a pair of towers that are used to build a Ferris Wheel.The 30-page booklet contains pictures of more than two dozen creations with step-by-step instructions to build a car, a helicopter or a penguin. You also get a sturdy sling bag to hold all the loose pieces.I left the blocks with Luke for a week, then asked him to show me what he could do with them and he whipped up what he called an “animal car” in about two minutes. It seemed to me that the blocks were easy to use and fun to play with while providing a way for his ideas to come to life. And that was just what I was hoping for.

 We bought these for our 3 year old. It comes with a booklet that gives you ideas about what to build, although you can't build everything it suggests, because you don't have ALL the pieces for some of the structures in the book. With that being said, you can still build a good amount of the ideas from book with what you have. The magnets are strong & they hold well. I helped mu 3 yr old build a Ferris wheel the first time around & now she does it by herself. Its great for my 18month old as well because she just stacks the pieces on top of each other. As they get older they'll be more interested in following an actual building pattern. ALSO keep in mind when it says 96 pieces, it doesn't mean 96 magnetic pieces, it means pieces altogether, including the numbers & letters squares, and the Ferris wheel base, etc.

This magnetic building set is great! Kids will love these as they are challenging(depending on age) and fun to play with! The first concern I had was safety; I was worried about the magnets getting eaten by kids (cause you know, kids are ignorant). I played with the set myself, and a grown person can easily break the pieces and get access to the magnets. However, breaking the pieces would be difficult for a child. I repeatedly dropped them on the ground and threw it on the ground as well. The pieces are quite durable in this sense! Everything is as described in the item description. Overall we liked this product. They are sturdy. It has a book that shows lots of other options to build new things but most of them are required more/different pieces which requires other sets and the car parts doesn't have magnets but little pieces of metal so it doesn't hold properly most of the time. Other than that it is good. My 5-year-old and 2-year-old loved it

Great toy for my 4 year old daughter, as it keeps her entertained without using ipad. Various shapes can be made for her, improve her creativity and cultivate closer parent-kid relationship. I felt relieved due to no peculiar odor. If you are looking for a toy to enhance your kid's imagination, this magnetic blocks might be a great choice.

Woooooow!!! This is literally the coolest set ever!! Way better than the three other brand named sets that we have. Exactly the same quality but at a fraction of the price and so many cool pieces! Ours came with ABC plates that you can insert into the squares. They still stack and magnetize with the letters inside. My two boys love them!!! I want to get a second set now!

These magnetic blocks are great, I got them as a gift to my niece. She's 4 years old and really likes playing with legos and all sort of building blocks, so when I saw this I knew she would love it. There's a lot of parts to play with so your child wont get bored easily, and to be honest you'll be able to play with them too, that's how cool these magnetic blocks are. In my opinion, its a gift your child will love, plus its an activity in wich you can also participate.You can play around and do whatever you want, or you can try and build some of the stuff that's shown in the guide book, wich are a lot by the way. This it worth every penny, and the kid you give this too will be incredibly happy, and even adults can have some fun with the blocks.

So fun and so creative!!! I love that all the pieces are different shapes and sizes, and spark creativity to build your own thing. If you do have a child who doesn't quite have the creativity bug, there is a booklet that will help a lot! I even found myself wanting to play with these. I kinda prefer them to legos (ever stepped on a lego? Yeah.)PLUS you can get more of these, or different magnet toys and make yourself a whole magnet city! I wish these were around when I was growing up! I'd have loved the STEM.
