Book has in depth explanation of Java8 and Oops concepts.

Content is good but the paper quality is not very good.

Much easier to understand than Kathy/Bates OCA/OCP guide.

Excellent book for Java advanced level. Easy to read with clear understanding.Reliable seller. Used book sold as "very good" but more in a "like new" condition.

Excelente material de estudio, los temas se explican de manera correcta y el contenido es lo que necesitas para aprobar el examen de certificación. El único inconveniente que encuentro son los ejemplos utilizados en el libro, basados en la temática de un zoologico, a mi parecer son aburridos y tediosos.Utilicé esta guía de estudio y aprobé el examen, por supuesto, también requieres muchas horas de practica programando y aplicando los conceptos enseñados en el libro, pero sin duda este es el único material que necesistas para aprobar el examen.No gastes tu dinero pagando "cursos" con precios exorbitantes, hasta seis veces más caros que el precio del examen. Lo único que requieres es estudiar con esta guía (practicar mucho), comprar el voucher del examen ($3,342 MXN) y por supuesto aprobar.Mucha suerte!

Five Star because I like Java programming But I never read it!!!!

This book is amazing.For me this is the best book to prepare for the OCP exam i have read so far.And i am certified meanwhile.Also much better than the book from Kathy Sierra, which was a dissapointment in my point of view and gave me the feeling that there was not put much heart in it, it felt like a contract work.The examples are very well, the selection of the topics is great, and all is explained in a very good way even for not so experienced developers.The only slight contra is that there are some errors which are already in an online errata. If these errors are fixed in a second edition of this book, i would buy it even a second time.Congratulations to the authors you did a great job. I hope for a second edition.
