Dolgix 64gb Compact Flash (Cf) Card - 133x

Used this card to replace the hard drive in my 10-year-old iPod Photo. Between this and the new battery, I have a great new music machine! The iPod loads up and syncs extremely quickly compared to the original hard drive model, and has not caused a single problem, yet. Skipping is obviously no longer a problem, the iPod is much lighter, and the battery life is improved, though only by about 20%. I'll admit the battery life test is not truly an apples-to-apples comparison, however, as I replaced the original battery at the same time I replaced the hard drive. Though this is not the cheapest (or even most capable) replacement for the old iPod Photo, I'm hopeful this will take my old machine through the next decade. Recycling is actually more appealing to me than replacing at this point in my life. Highly recommended for this type application.

I have just purchased this card. Initially it did not fit well and the computer did not recognize it. After some trouble I found that the label which I assumed was the top eg "goes up" of the card needs to be down. If this happens to you, try upside down. It saved me the trouble of returning it. About the card, so far so good and the price is certainly right.

Yes card came quickly, yes stated size seems accurateBut stated write speed of 133x 20mb sec, not so. There seems to be a small birdInside with a granite slab and chisel, at least that would explain the glacial slowness of loading data onto this card. 6+ hours to write 15 gbI have other cards on this same platform with useful transfer ratesSo it is the card not the computer my hope is to use this as archivalStorage so this will work for that at least.

I too, as many other reviewers, got this CF card for my iPod video. Works great. Tried it in my camera and worked perfect in there too. Of course the speed is a bit slow but for the money its totally worth it.

Installed in my ipod mini 6Gb. Ran well from the get go, formatted to 60Gb. Happy with my purchase although sometimes the music skips.

Replaced the hard drive in my ipod. Works great and uses less battery and doubled my storage. Also is faster loading.

Cheapest 64GB Compact Flash out there that works with Tarkan Akdam's iFlash iPod Compact Flash adapter (~$20). No problems with the iTunes restore. Syncing files is slow (which is expected on 133x CF cards) but once it's loaded the menus and functions are lightning fast. This card with the iFlash is a great cost effective way to bring any iPod 5G or 5.5G back to life if the original hard drive dies. The battery life lasts a lot longer with the CF card since the iPod no longer has any moving parts.
