M-Audio Keystation 49 MK3 - Synth Action 49 Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller with Assignable Controls, Pitch and Mod Wheels, and Software Included

This is a great controller. If you want a synth, look elsewhere. But if you have great software like Logic Pro, you'll never run out of sounds this thing can control. The pitch wheel is flawless, and the modulation changes the sound in subtle ways (or large ways if you want).I don't use this to control my software. I sit at a computer and create when using this keyboard. I just use it for the keys and the pitch/mod wheels, and that's it. And that will keep me occupied for a long time to come.The keys aren't weighted like the upright grand I learned to play on - but it's fine. The key actions are just fine. If you want realism, spend a LOT more money and go for it. The thing is, if you want to adjust attack etc. in MIDI, you have all the flexibility you want in the LP software. I didn't download any of the software they included with this as I have no use for it. YMMV.Overall I think it was money well spent and am quite happy with the purchase.

This MIDI Keyboard Controller has everything I need at a great price. It's plug-and-play and worked great on my old Windows 10 PC and on my new Windows 11 PC. About 5 1/2 months after I bought the keyboard, my new PC stopped recognizing it. I hooked it up to my old PC and same thing happened. M-Audio customer service walked me through some diagnostics, and after a few days it was clear there was a mechanical fault in the keyboard. M-Audio gave me a pre-paid FedEx label and I boxed it up and shipped it back. As soon as I gave M-Audio the FedEx tracking number, they immediately shipped off a brand-new keyboard to me. GREAT SERVICE.

I 've found the Keystation 49 MK3 MIDI Controller by M-Audio to be a very capable, USB-powered, plug and play 49-key MIDI controller. The keyboard functions perfectly with my DAW of choice, Reaper, on my Win 10 laptop. As a bonus, the free software and VSTi's (virtual instruments), which are downloadable from the applicable developers website after online device registration, are worth the price of admission by themselves. They are:Pro Tools - M-Audio Edition (if you're in need of a DAW)Ableton Live LiteMiniGrand VSTiVelvet VSTiXpand!2 VSTiAgain, the keyboard itself does what it needs to do, and does it well. It fits nicely at the front of my "standard size" desk, and is light and compact enough to be quickly portable, if that's your gig. My 5 stars are for the keyboard, with the included software being a huge bonus. Well done M-Audio! I almost gave 4 stars only because of the M-Audio web registration process. More accurately, the "create account" page. You'll get through it, but you'll see what I mean! :)

The product itself works great, even with fl studio mobile. I docked a star because the controller arrived in the manufacturers box, UNTAPED. If anyone during shipping wanted to pull it out and use it, there would have been no tape to cut, pull or otherwise remove to get to the device inside. That being said, the product is in one piece and not damaged. I have not tried the software yet, so I hope the product keys work, otherwise I will be very angry if someone opened the box and used the product keys for themselves.

Im just gonna say it how it is, this was one of the best investments and buying experience I could have made all year. ive been looking for a keyboard for a while and I have had a hard time trying to pick one. I finally decided to go with this one which I was nervous about to begin with for 2 reasons. For one, I didn't know if it was going to be to small and 2, it was advertised as used: Very Good. for one, this keyboard is literally the perfect size atleast for me. the keys have good travel and they feel good at the press. and when I got the keyboard in the mail, it definitely want just used: very good, as a matter in fact... it wasn't used at all! it was brand new, I got the keyboard, the cord and all the software it comes with for only $98 USD all wrapped inside of its Original packaging, and on top of that IT got here a day earlier than it was supposed to!!! I hardly ever wright a review, but this was definitely worthy of a good review. I could not be any happier with my purchase and I would suggest purchasing from this seller if you get the chance!

Probably one of the best, affordable and easy-to-use midi keys out there in the market. I norrnally bring my very heavy and bulky Ensoniq sq1 plus for our gigs, and as soon as I watched a product review, i never thought twice. My two DAWs that i use for live performance (Reason and Ableton) quickly connected without any hitch. The semi-weighted keys are somewhat heavy initially to the touch, and hopefully would lighten up in the future. Amazing simple product from M-Audio! Even the shipping got me surprised (i live in the Philippines, and it arrived 2 weeks earlier!) Good job Amazon! Thanks a whole heap.

I spend a lot of time playing along with Amazon music. I run it through a sound bar and sub woofer. I get amazing results. Comes with studio software and a ton of voices.

Somehow, I didn’t send this. This week, the usb port fell inside the case, could you send me a diagram which screws to open the unit up without damaging the unit. If not, I will ruin it. I really like this, it still great, some glue or fastener failed. Thank you.m- audioJust an excellent product. It has the Fatar keyboard bed. No clickity-clack. I have had about a dozen plus strap-ons since the early eighties. This one is the first sit down I’ve had since then. I just wish, one time some manufacturer could make the stop, play, record buttons work and the bank, prest change work.I even read the manuals. I've had every major brand and none of them work. I would appreciate a new buyer would include a link that point out what I’m doing wrong. I use Apple OS. Probably that, huh?
