Great ferrule crimper for the money.
Very good crimper for the money. Very happy. I prefer this 6 side version over the 4 for most applications. This crimper is perfect for the listed wire sizes. For those saying it is too small I can only assume you are either NOT using ferrules (as in trying to use it as a standard wire crimper which will NOT work) or you have insanely large ferrules.Let me be clear - this is for the little ferrules that go on the end of a wire to insure better connections in screw terminals - typically fond in control boxes or panels (and sometimes in breaker boxes when stranded is used)This is a great tool and does exactly what it was designed to do - crimp ferrules - no frills.

Best ferrule crimper I've used
In the industrial electrical construction fired these are literally a must have.I've no idea how many ferrules I crimp in a week or a month- but it's not just a few here and there. the primary advantage of the 6 point crimp versus the four point is that these crimp almost perfectly round. The round crimp fits in terminal blocks a lot better than square crimps do.for those of us who use these regularly we find square crimps tend to hang up inserting into term blocks, leading to loose, ineffective terminations. I've used these on Everything from 22 ga. Up to 10 ga, and not found any sort of a problem. I've owned much more expensive crimpers, and I prefer these.at 25% of the cost of high end crimpers these are definitively a win.in fact, my over priced crimper live in my toolbox now.wish I had found these first. Seriously, if you want a great crimper for the right money you really can't lose with these.

Where have you been all my life
These little things are magic! I use to secure loose wire in terminal blocks. I always ran into the wires breaking and fraying over time. Or the wires not being properly secured causing them to slip out over time. These little fittings solve all those issues. Strip off 3/8" of insulation insert the wire into the correct size terminal and crimp. You now have a secure method to attach wire to screw terminals. You can crank down on the screw terminals and the wire will be solidly locked into position. The little colored plastic surrounds allow the insulation to sit inside providing an clean looking joint, or if you like they provide good surface area to really protect the joint from corrosion. Just slip some heat shrink on over the connection.

A good solid crimping tool
These crimp very well. I use them mainly on 18awg and 24/28awg ferrules. The tool seems well made. I have a couple issues, they open fairly widely which is a bit uncomfortable (I had big hands too) and the small screw that secures the tension cam was not formed correctly.I would recommend these for use with both cable clamp and screw type terminals. I would also recommend applying a sticker or mark on one side so you pick up the tool in the correct orientation. It can save a lot of time when you're crimping 800 wire ends.

Amazing ferrule crimper!
This crimper works really well. I'm using it for some 8 awg speaker wire for car audio, and these make connections secure, and also very neat looking. I'm using these at the subwoofer terminals. No need to have stray strands of wire hanging out, or trimming your wire strands away and making your wire even smaller in gauge. And the price is a fair price, considering the costs of some other wire ferrule crimpers, which get into the triple digits. I'm very happy with this purchase. One more useful tool in the toolbox and worth having.

Not even close to the advertised description
This is a good quality tool, it is not as described. The description states that it will crimp terminals from 16 to 4 awg and has a range of 6 to 16mm, neither are correct. The maximum opening for the tool is about 5.5mm. A bare metal 8 ga terminal would not even come close to being able to be inserted into the jaws of this tool. I had to return it for something different to crimp 8 ga terminals.

Legit for Car Audio
For around $25, I doubt this can be beat. I'm using it primarily for car audio installs. Thing was beyond easy to use and my crimps came out looking amazing... just like the pics in the description. Use this in conjunction with good quality ferrules and adhesive lined heat shrink, and you've got a 100% legit connection.Do not hesitate to buy this.

Lack of quality control
It would be a very good product if it had good quality control, the crimper came with a pair of chipped jaws.IWISS Hexagonal Crimper Plier HSC8 6-6 Self-adjusting Crimping Tools Used for 23 - 10 AWG (Similar to 0.25 - 6 mm²) Cable End-sleeves Ferrules-Orange Handle ONLY!!
