Great Bike Computer, Very Versatile
Works great, accurate readings.I love that you can configure many different screen layouts. You can configure the device through the mobile app, this makes it very easy to set up the device.Sturdy construction, large display.I have to get more into the route creation feature and the turn by turn navigation.

I loved it until it quit working
I ordered one of these in 2019. It was a little hard to learn, but once I got the hang of it it was exactly what I needed. All I wanted was a way to navigate new routes and log my rides. It had great battery life. Then, at the end of 2023 it sort of hung a couple times and this spring it started acting really strange. It would not begin recording. The cursor showed me moving appropriately on the map, but it showed 0 speed. On Auto Pause, it would Pause and not restart even if I was moving. With Auto Pause Off, it would say Recording, but show no speed, elapsed time or track log BUT it did show me moving on the map.I tried to follow the directions to do a factory reset, but apparently they have changed their software interface because that option is no longer available. I tried to follow the instructions to do a "Reset to factory defaults" but their current interface looks nothing like their instructions on their web site and is apparently no longer available. I updated the unit to the latest firmware but that last update was in 2022. It had no effect.I contacted Lezyne support and initially, they were responsive. I tried all their suggestions and provided them with .fit files for them to review, but then they quit responding. I haven't heard from them in over two weeks. (FWIW, I was polite and really wanted to work with them to get my Mega XL working again.)It really seems like a software issue - the GPS works, the altimeter works, the clock works. It just doesn't recognize I'm moving. It would seem that a "Factory Reset" would be appropriate, but there is apparently no longer any way to do that.I could understand it failing if the battery died or the case was damaged (it is like new) or it got water inside it, but it is really frustrating to deal with an apparent software glitch and not be able to reset/recover it.

Exactly what I needed
Well constructed, thick, accurate and an excellent value.

Excellent engineering
This little guy does what it's supposed to and it does it well. No, it's a B & W display and it's not large, so it's not eye candy. However, it's a little marvel in what it does and how user-friendly it is. Gives you not only a list of connected devices, but even shows you their battery levels. Excellent GPS tops off the package. It's only for cycling, so be advised.

JUNK? Not waterproof
Maybe I received a lemon. Maybe it is simply junk. I came from a Wahoo Bolt which I lost. I bought this as it came out hoping it would live up to the hype. My first problem was a faulty upload to Strava. Things happen, I moved on. Then it rained here in Florida. Unit started flickering during the ride in the light rain. All throughout the ride, flickers started to get more frequent and the screen would stay out longer. Ride was about 63 miles. By that time, rain had passed as it only rained for about 5 miles and I was able to upload my ride and go home. Sad to say that the unit never turned back on when I arrived home. Screen is dead although I can hear tone when I try to turn it on. All that to say that the unit is NOT waterproof. If I can't get caught in the rain for 5 miles, what's the point? Never had this problem with my Wahoo. Oh, before anyone mentions this, YES, the USB cover was fully closed. That was the first thing I checked when I noticed it was about to rain.PS: You can see the water condensation under the screen in the pictures

fair basic gps computer, but no Garmin.
I got this bike computer a moth ago because it would display texts, call etc on the display. In addition it integrates with the Lezyne Smart connect lights. Battery life seems good, display of ride parameters is very visible. Price is really dirt cheap. That is the good parts. Now the bad. It is not a touchscreen and the push buttons are awkwardly placed and very stiff. The mapping function does not show street names. As a matter of fact, when I power off the computer it loses its map files and no map will show. Turning on and off the lights is very tedious- much easier to just bend down and turn on manually. Can only get phone data when running the Lezyne GPS Ally app on the phone. Shutting off the computer is again tedious requiring several button pushes to save or delete the ride recording. Then the worst part is the very glitchy software. When turning on the computer, it will often show a weird screen because the boot up glitched. It will do the same when charging the battery. Recovery requires holding down 2 button for 30 seconds and then restarting - which clears out your settings and data.Save your money and get the Garmin Edge 830 instead, you won't regret it.

Great battery life.
I have not used products that compete with the Mega XL, so I cannot compare and contrast. With that being said, the Mega XL has been a great purchase for me. The battery life is truly fantastic, and the unit does all that I wanted it to do.
