Great performance - driver inside included storage - please read.
This usb wifi is great ! Boradbandspeedchecker (uk) gives a score of 147 Down and 29 Up - using the machine right next door to it which has a wired ethernet connection gives a score which is identical (within 1 of the above wireless scores).Note that when you plug the USB into your machine/s (ours are running Windows 11) the stick appears as a drive not a wifi - it is a drive and the drive part contains the driver which you need to click and run to get the thing registered as a wifi card. Took me a while and I'm quite 'techy' - but maybe too old. A bargain for sure - bought for 11.99 (now 10.99!) in May 2025.PS - Had a thought that maybe I have autoplay turned off for USB sticks and that if I hadn't, the driver would have popped up automatically.

Brilliant Bargain 👏
Transformed my daughters gaming PC to an Internet beast, compared to an Internet slug. Was dubious if it would held, but it is now excellent. Worth every penny 😀

Great for signal, not great for upside down USB ports
Bought this to replace a nano-style dongle that was not performing in a room with less than optimal signal reception. I believe the aerial on this one really helps and I get full signal. Speed on previous dongle was 60Mbps and on this one was 160Mbps so a massive improvement. Loses a star for a design flaw which assumes that all USB ports are placed the correct way up. In my case the port I needed was upside down in terms of orientation which means the 180 degree rotation is useless if it means it's 180 degrees of pointing down. I was able to brute force it to face the other way but have no idea whether this will stress the wires inside, however it's not going to be moved further and seems to be fine for now.Point worth mentioning as a lot of USB wifi reviews mention connections dropping, sometimes this is Windows attempting to save power by turning off USB devices, and can be resolved with the following:Disable Power ManagementDevice Manager → Network Adapters → Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → PropertiesGo to Power Management tabUncheck: "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"Also, in USB Root Hub entries (under Universal Serial Bus Controllers):Do the same: uncheck power-saving optionsConnection was rock-solid after doing this.

Needs replugging on every boot
I have two of these on two different windows 11 pcs and both require re-plugging on every boot, otherwise they dont work.Given the other reviews here i would suspect my setup or a faulty unit to be the issue but on two different pcs and two different adapters? Seems suspect.I am running a wifi 6 mesh network, so would be interesting to know what wifi tech the good reviews here are using.I run surfshark vpn on both machines so i do wonder if that throws it off somehow? It really shouldn't be able to though. So, for me at least, these have been a waste of money as I will have to find alternatives or face the endless moaning from my kids.

Works fine but false advertisment
Overall this is an OK wifi dongle. I used it on my Windows 11 desktop computer and didn't have any issue, and was able to get decent speeds. However, the product listing, and the product box, are simply lying about the advertised speeds. It rightfully claims to be able to reach 600Mbps on a 5Ghz network and 286Mbps on a 2.4Ghz network, but then it sums those two and says the total maximum speed is 900Mbps, which is ridiculous! Those speeds simply cannot be summed, only one of the two bands will be used, not both at the same time. The box is even worse because it explicitly lists "866Mbps" at the maximum speed, clearly showing they simply summed both. The product is fine, but it's simply a lie that you will reach 900Mbps with this dongle.

Good for casual needs
i did hit about 500 mbps with this wifi dongle, much less than i get on ethernet but it is wired over wireless so i guess it makes sense that it will be less than a wired connection however overall still a very good quality dongle and worth for anyone that does not have a wired option, will have a big input lag delay as this is the main issue with wifi connections when gaming, so even though you will get a good speed in terms of mbps, the ping will still be higher than recommended
