A verified tank of a mobo.
This thing is beefy and strong and has tons of plug-ins. It's worked great for me so far and it was easy to figure out what goes where. Highly recommended.

Bought for a new z790 build. Works great
I started a new build and have been lucky with msi boards. I've usually bought their pro a boards. This board was a little cheaper with rgb and wifi but similar otherwise. After reading reviews I purchased. I was able to update the Bios out of the case easily. The board runs well and looks great. The one big complaint I have is to ddr5 ram is hard to get in place right. Only one side opens so it is a pain to get it seated correctly. I am not sure why only one side clicks open. Is it because the board is cheaper? Once seated correctly the board has been great.

best mobo of the below $200!
I love that it have a lot of fan headers, rgb headers, and usb headers. Tbh it has more headers than other mobo worth more than 200$ that I had before

Fast
I replaced a Gigabyte motherboard that died. I'm glad I chose the MSI Tomahawk. This board is fast. I used the same I7-13700 processor and performance is much improved on the MSI board.

Dead on Arrival - MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi Motherboard ATX
Frustration and disappointment from a DOA MSI motherboard.... A new build PC with high end components was the main Christmas gift this year for my son. As the box lay under the tree wrapped in paper and bows his anticipation was building for the big day.....Gathered all the manuals, downloads and hand tools needed in advance. Cleared off the kitchen table and had everything ready to go. Meanwhile he was telling all his friends in the greatest detail all of the specs of his exciting new PC.The day came.... What a beautiful work of art in the smoked glass box, waiting for the whirling fans & LED's light display after performing final checks and hitting the power switch for the first time.... Then nothing, no lights, no fans, no life at all. Did I do something wrong? Is the power supply bad or maybe its power switch? .... Scramble, blogs, searches, YT videos ..... when I found a short video titled "MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi will not start unless doing BIOS reset showing CPU EZ Debug light on". Same exact issue, brick, with over 200 comments, most with similar experience. Contacted MSI support by email with symptoms...a few days later, the long awaited reply came, MSI said complete the service request for an RMA..... Crash & burn, I'm done with MSI.... Submitted as an Amazon return.... What should we get to replace the MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk? He chose the ASUS version of the same board....Now received, installed, and runs fantastic. Better layout, better instructions....Performance Test gives it an overall score of 13,600 with an Intel 13900KF CPU. Wow, that's almost at 95% of all PC's tested! My next task is to submit to MSI a new user manual chapter titled "How to Test Your New Motherboard Before Wasting Countless Hours Only to Determine It's Dead".

Misleading specs
Says it can handle up to 7200 ram speed but I don't see how, default settings put you at 2400 and as soon as you enable XMP in BIOS your CPU will heat up by about 20-30 degrees with the fan going full blast. Might be solved by using a water cooling system instead of fan but if you have the money for that, you're probably buying a better/more premium motherboard than this one. I also haven't been able to get any undervolt settings to stick. Very frustrated as I spent way more on RAM than needed if this is all it can handle and I can't return it.
