It's a pretty cool gadget, but is it solving a problem that doesn't exist?..
Was interested to test this out as I have a Nespresso machine at home which I love, so using the capsule option sounded good. Sometimes when taking the kids to football, rugby, swimming etc. I find myself sitting in the car waiting for them, so being able to make a nice fresh coffee seemed ideal. It's easy to setup and put together and it works pretty well. Build quality is good and simple to use. Pretty much mess free with capsule option plus I can take a few capsules with me so I can have more then one when out and about. It didn't go quite as hot as I would like it but it's still perfectly fine on these cold days.Don't get me wrong, a flask would probably do just as good a job, but that's nowhere near as cool! As a gadget lover I like this. It's not perfect but if I had received this as a gift I'd be well happy. However, would I have bought this for myself, I'm not so sure...If you are looking for something interesting for the person that likes technology and coffee, and you can't think what to get, this might be a great option!

quite expensive, coffee not very hot
Comes well packaged with all the accessories required to use either ground coffee or pods + a carrying bag, it does work fine though the instructions aren't very clear and there is not really any good indication of it actually working/heating up the water, I had to keep checking for any signs of the water boiling, the beep-indicator it mentions in the instructions didn't always seem to work.I have tested it with ground coffee and found it quite easy to do - simply take apart the bottom piece, fill and press down with the included stamper. It doesn't seem to make a very hot cup of coffee though, at best it's 50-60C and goes cold really quick! I suppose for on the go if you're really fussy about how your coffee is made then it might be ok? but I cannot personally see myself taking this camping or much less on a hike! I'd rather take a flask of hot coffee. It's quite expensive for what it it is and can be a bit fiddly..
