Nice, but
To be fair, I put this on a heavy bike, an electrified touring bike with a 12lb battery mounted in the rack. The link between the chainstay clamp and seatstay clamp will bend if it gets overstressed by leaning against the bike or parking it loaded with a lean towards the stand. The link is slotted, even though there is no adjustment for the link and the slot undermines the strength. As others have noted, it sticks out a bit and it is possible to heel strike it. I haven't had much problem with that with my huge feet but OTOH touring bikes have long chainstays. I'll eventually make a bracket to brace the weak link and I intend to keep it. A kickstand can fel like such a luxury.

Great product filling a need, great customer service
I bought this product as an alternative to paying a bike shop significant fees for parts and labor to install a simple kickstand on my new large-frame bike. The price on this Lumintrail kickstand was outstanding and I installed it myself in under 10 mins. It fits like a glove on the frame and keeps my bike upright for those pauses and stops along my rides. I've used it on 5 rides so far and the fold-and-lock mechanism works great.Initially I bought a center-mount kickstand, but when it arrived I realized my bike's center mount pre-drilled hole was much smaller than the bolt that the kickstand came with. I called Lumintrail's customer service number, and it was a fantastic call. The rep picked up right away (no hold music), and she helped me find the quickest path to exchange the center-mount kickstand with a rear-mount kickstand. She processed my return, helped me make the right purchase, and by the next day, I had received the rear-mounted kickstand at my doorstep. The entire call with customer service lasted under 5 mins and I was a super-satisfied customer.

Great kickstand, not suitable for carbon fiber frames though
It’s a great kickstand. You just gotta tighten down too much to be able to use it safely on a carbon fiber frame. This was the third one I’d tried with no avail. The only option I’ve found is to install a thru axle made for hooking a trailer hitch up and using a thru axle mounted kickstand I found on AlliExpress. Still waiting for the axle to arrive but I’m pretty sure this one is going to work.

Seems to be secure. Push button adjustable wire clip may be weak link.
For the price, the overall quality seems good. Good appearance. Mounting it was a little tedious, trying to hold the parts together and position it just right. Due to a brake line and the shape of my chain stay (goes from oval to nearly round near the rear), I had to position the stand within a 2 inch area. I uniformly tightened the 3 bolts (VERY important) for the best chance for the clamp to hold. Because of the rubberized inserts "relaxing", the bolts lose a little torque so I needed to tighten them down little by little several times before I was OK with them. I'm sure the stand would still rotate a little if pushed on too hard but it seems to be holding under normal foot contact. If it does move I believe a single wrap of rubber tape stretched around the chain stay first would provide better grip for the inserts/clamp.The push button to adjust length is great but I suspect the wire clip that fits into a notch may not withstand the test of time. Most of the bikes weight is on that wire clip. Mine is adjusted about 1 1/4 inch out. If the wire clip broke the stand would collapse that amount. I'm not sure if the bike would fall or not. To stop a possible collapse, I suggest placing something inside the adjustable hollow "foot". A piece of round wooden dowel or anything strong enough, cut to correct length, would work. Even silicone sealant would work. Also, if the wire clip breaks, there's nothing to stop the foot from falling off. Again, silicone sealant or a strong epoxy could work but the stand would no longer be adjustable. One last idea, to minimize pressure on the wire clip, mount the stand so the bike is upright as possible and still be secure. As a side note, I DID mount my stand at first so the bike didn't lean much but my foot was too close to the stand. I had to re-position the clamp to move the stand inward even more. So the bike is a little more upright than I'd like but it will be secure. So much depends on YOUR bike. The shape and height of your chain stay, any cables in the way, even where you like to place your feet on your pedals. From what I've seen, this stand, because it expands to 17 inches, is the best chance to hold a larger mountain bike. I have a 2018 Specialized Rockhopper Sport 29er with a large frame. It measured about 12 1/4 inches from the ground to bottom of the chain stay. Just remember to uniformly tighten the 3 bolts, try to minimize pressure on the wire clip by mounting the stand to keep the bike more upright, consider a wrap of rubber tape if the clamp wants to slip, and "modifying" the adjustable foot as I described. I think if your chain stay is too round then rubber tape is your only hope of the clamp holding, and it still may not work. Measured with a precision tool, my chain stay, at my mounting point, was .68 of an inch wide and .86 of an inch high, so not truly oval but somewhat oval. I give 4 stars. Could potentially be more or less. Hard to say until some time passes. Hope this helps.

Thoughtless
I have a full suspension bike i converted to mid-drive electric. It's heavy and it has no designated accommodations for a kickstand. So for a several years now i've been buying rear-mount kickstands from Walmart. They're soft steel so the mounting bolts are always loosening, and any lateral stress cause them to bend. After a few rounds of bolt tightening and bending-back-in-place, they're useless. As a practical matter this means that since i built this bike, i've rarely had a functioning kickstand.I was slightly worried about trading soft steel for brittle pot aluminum, but this product has held up very well. I wouldn't tilt the full weight of my bike onto it, for instance to turn the pedals for chain maintenance. Pretty sure it would snap. But that's fine, i have a kickstand which actually holds up my bike and which i haven't had to deal with since i got it.When you think about it, it's good to appreciate the things you don't have to think about.
