We have a few of these 'Starter Kits' and they come in assorted designs. The idea is the same, you get the materials and pattern to make up a design. This includes the hoop, material, patterns to follow, as well as some needles and other tools. For the price you cannot really argue, especially if you are a beginner. The instructions are a little vague, but you can experiment by yourself.The price means that the materials are a little on the cheaper side. The hoop is plastic and a little gappy. Having the design already drawn for you and the exact thread does mean that the fun is prescribed, and you cannot deviate. Once again, great for a starter, but once you have done a few of these you will want to go ahead and start designing and making your own patterns. The design on offer is pretty and with a careful hand you can make it look like the finished image.

This is a really beautiful design for a beginner’s embroidery kit. It looks like there are lots of different colours, but there are fewer than it appears making this kit much less daunting than you might think. The fabric is good quality. The hoop is one that is functional, but you’ll probably want to replace. My threads were a little fuzzy, but I just put them in the freezer for an hour and they’re fine!
