Great for multi cat house!
We have two cats on different diets that were stealing each other's food and causing quite a lot of stress. We ordered two of these feeders and so far they are fantastic! Both cats learned to use them within a day, including a 13 week old kitten, and they were very easy to set up and customize using the app. These are very expensive but do exactly what they say they do and have lots of useful features on the app for tracking food consumption/tailoring meals. The collar tag which allows each cat to access their food is light and unobtrusive. The unit is quite big but looks smart. The main food compartment seems well sealed and has so far kept our very strong and intelligent adult cat out. Can’t speak to the longevity of the feeders yet but so far so good!

Don't buy if you also have SurePet devices!
I have three cats, two of whom are very food-orientated and one who is barely interested in eating. The two hungry cats were eating all of the not-hungry cat's food, so I bought them each a SurePet microchip feeder. They worked very well until the hungry cats worked out they could just barge their way in beside the not-hungry cat and eat alongside her. I dealt with this by adding strips of cardboard to the arch of the SurePet feeder, so that only the not-hungry cat could reach her food.I then bought a MiBowl from Closer Pets, so that I could give the not-hungry cat plenty of dry food, available all the time. This worked better than the SurePet feeder for free-feeding dry food as the bowl is so much bigger; the problem was that when it was about nine months old the Closer Pets feeder just stopped working. The nice people at Closer Pets offered me a refund or replacement, and said that if the replacement also failed they'd refund or replace that too. So I took the replacement. You can guess where this is going, right? It failed after a year. I got a full refund, but then had to work out a new way to feed my not-hungry cat.So I bought a PetLibro. It was on offer at the time (£135!) and looked like a very good solution. Downside was that it meant I'd have to put a collar on the cat who used it, and my cats don't wear or like collars. But it was worth it to ensure she had something to eat.At first it all worked really well. She is so used to auto feeders now that she didn't need to be trained to use it, she just used it immediately. I recorded a little audio clip of me calling her to eat (all my cats know their names, and come when called); and that was that. However. Within a day the other cats worked out that when the new device called her, there would be food; and the barriers at either side of the bowl weren't nearly enough to stop them muscling in on her food. So it didn't solve that issue at all. The collar really irritated her neck, to the extent that in the few days she was wearing it she developed a couple of bloody sores, which was very distressing. But what I didn't realise was that the tag on the collar interfered with the operation of her SurePet microchip feeder. It stopped it responding to her microchip. So for the few days we were using the PetLibro feeder not only were the other cats stealing her dry food, but also she couldn't access her wet food, leaving her a very hungry girl!I have now sent the PetLibro back and got a refund. If you use the SurePet feeders, then don't get this one as it will stop the SurePet feeders from opening (and if you also have a SurePet cat flap I suspect it will stop that opening too). If you want this feeder to prevent your cats from stealing one another's food then it won't do that either. And if your cats have any sensitivities at all, be very wary of using the collar which comes with this feeder as they could end up with sores, like my cat did.Sorry, PetLibro. But I can't recommend your feeder on any level at all.

Easy to set up and cats love it
So easy to set up and use, my cats took to it straight away. My cats are on different diets so it’s a life saver. App is great as you can see when they have eaten and how much. The collars were the only down fall the material began to frey after a day as my cats were scratching then when they groomed themselves their tongues would get caught in the collar. I have put the chips on a different collar.

Excellent product - customer service redeemed itself
I was attracted to this feeder as it was the first automatic dry feeder that I had seen on the market, which could limit which cats accessed the food. Other feeders just dispense automatically. The product itself is robust and a good design. The accompanying app is functional and helps customise the feeder any schedule meals. In theory it should be a great device. However, if you have a cat like mine who is active and likes exploring, it’s relatively easy for the collar to come undone and the rfid tag to be lost. As the rfid tag is the ONLY way for the cat to access the food without manual intervention, the unit becomes no better that much cheaper alternatives out there. While initially you could not purchase the RFID tag replacements in the UK, thankfully this has been resolved. So, definitely worth getting additional replacement. They retail on their website for £9.99 and comes with a collar. .The company customer service initially was poor, but redeemed itself eventually. However please bear in mind they are a US company and response times can vary should you need to reach out.In summary, it is a great device provided you have a cat which isn’t active and prone to loosing the rfid tag its definitely essential to purchase additional replacements along side the device.

A hungry cat can still open it
We got this so that are senior cat could have her food whenever she needed it as she is healthy and a grazer. We also have an overweight diabetic cat who we needed to keep away from her food, unfortunately he figured out that if he pulled on the rubber strip in the middle of the feeder lid he could open it and feast. So to sum it up if you have a cleaver cat don’t get this.

Too many faults
Great idea and easy for pets to use and get used to. I bought one for each of my 3 cats but returned because 1. Kept getting debris stuck messages where food gets stuck at the opening to the bowl. Petlibro could improve and prevent this on future models by angling all the opening down to the bowl instead of leaving a small lip for food to catch on. 2. The amount of food dispensed didn't match the amount requested. For example, programmed to dispense 20g but it releases 24g. 3. Sometimes the meals get turned off in the app even when they've been set and saved. Thankfully I was home when this happened but my big cat had to wait 3hrs as I hadn't noticed his food wasnt dispensed. 4. The mat the cat stands on is too long, my big cat was able to eat my little cat's food because the little cat was still on the mat and the door stayed open.
