Star Trek: Discovery - Season Five

A film for Christmas

The last season of Discovery, at last! Why does it take soooo long to cough up a dvd, however, having waited an age for it to come out, my wife and I got this. for some reason they only do 10 episodes per season, must cost a fortune, the concluding story revolves round a Next Generation episode about the progenitors, a mysterious cash of goodies left behind squillions of years ago, in a box. This involves beating others to the prize, the chief ones being the Breen. As you may expect, some weirdness goes along with the story along with a backstory element. The whole lot bumps along more or less with a couple of sidebars along the way, no spoilers but we do find out who a few characters actually are and it's all wrapped up in neat bundle at the end, still get the feeling there's one more story in there to tell, but that might be dragging it out too much, one cool thing, the away mission suits in 32nd century, they have replicator tech built in, want a phaser? flip the wrist and bam it's there, go on, you know you want one!

Captain Burnham and the Discovery crew go after an 800 year old Romulan ship starting a treasure hunt across the galaxy. Thrilling 5th and final season that unexpectedly picks up a forgotten storyline from a classic Next Generation episode The Chase as well as bringing back and fleshing out Deep Space Nine villains The Breen for the 32nd century. A tense and gripping set of 10 episodes building to a feature length finale full of surprises giving the Discovery crew a good send off though we could still see them in future shows set in the 32nd century with excellent performances from the regular cast.

I am admit I’m not or have ever been a fan of Discovery but I’m watching this season. It clearly was the best season as it had a link to the next generation and enterprise brings back characters the projenters from st.tng the chase and agent Daniel’s from enterprise I have to admit I really enjoyed it and I think you will too

A very nice steel book housed all the blu ray discs very safely and securely. The product itself is just fine.As for the show, you either liked Discovery or you didn't. Well...I did....apart for the awful season where Saru's brother was responsible for " the burn". That season was embarrassing. ( Season 3 or 4 ? I'm not sure without looking it up) But the other four seasons, including this one ,were just great Trek.

Je n' Aime Pas du Tout que la Meilleure série de la Meilleure franchise de l'histoire du cinéma et de la télé s'arrête au bout de 5 saisons, c'est triste et presque scandaleux--
