Defective out of the box
Product arrived in a box without damage. Unboxing the product had me hopeful as I knew this was a refurbished unit and everything looks great and new. It started right up. I charged it, connected to Wifi and started the update the tablet said was needed. Upon finishing the download, the tablet restarted, however it never came out of its restart. Instead the page would just flash black and then white and show what I put in the picture attached, "Remarkable is starting". Remarkable never started. It continued to show this screen while intermittentantly flashing back to a black screen. This went on for several hours. Trouble shooting this was worthless as there was no way for me to restart the product as requested. The power button was also unresponsive. This is being returned after only functioning properly for 10 min.Save yourself the haslte of a refurbished unit and just spend the extra $100 on a new one.

It's a bit pricey, but worth it.
My ONLY complaint is that no sooner did I order and receive my ReMarkable 2, the ReMarkable Pro came out. Having a bit of color availalble would be nice, but I don't consider that any kind of serious flaw for my needs. The pen/surface feel is phenomenal. It has just enough drag to make it feel exactly like writing on paper. There is virtually zero latency, which was my biggest complaint about trying to use a MS-Surface+Pen. I've learned how to very rapidly and easily send pages to OneNote, although the organization capabilities on the RM2 are very good. Importing new custom templates is a little bit tricky at first, requiring a 3rd part app, but once I'd done it a couple times, it's quite simple. The stock pen may be a bit expensive compared to competitors, but it is perfectly matched to the RM2. I did have a problem with the original pen, it more or less "fell apart"(no idea what went wrong) but ReMarkable sent a replacement immediately, so kudos on their customer responsiveness.

Not worth it. Not a lot of options.
I likwriting on this. That's it. If you plan on creating a lot of files and have them saved to the cloud, good luck. You'll have to pay a subscription fee. No mention of this prior to buying. Will NOT buy another. I found myself utilizing my Samsung Notes more. There's a lot more options on Samsung Note.

Screen doesn't write
The pen did not write on the screen. I ordered a new pen online and that also did not pair. Changed the nib, factory reset the device, and no luck.
