I really like this rechargeable hearing amplifier. This is not like a traditional hearing aid... this is an amplifier that is clipped on to a shirt pocket or collar and that amplifies sound. There is slight very low grade static or what sounds a bit like ambient noise/air while these are in use and it's quiet, but, when someone is speaking, the sounds of voices or the TV really covers that low-grade noise and this does act quite well as an amplifier or aid.  It works best when the person or tv speaker is directly in front of the user.The set comes with a usb charging cord (but no a/c brick -- a pet peeve ;-p), as well as two corded headphones -- single ear as well as double ear -- and silicone domes of varying sizes.  Hope this helps!  :-)

These are a good hearing aid option for seniors. It is simple to use and allows them to hear in front of them better. The setup procedure is easy and they can control the volume using the dial that is clearly labeled on the amplifier.

LIKES:1. Came well packaged and had a little charge in it so was able to test right away.2. Came with a short earbud cord and a long one that has (2) earbuds in it and approximately 3 feet long3. Overall sound was better than others I've tested in this price range and beyond where their microphones were in the stand by itself earbud section4. Being able to reduce the treble (they call clarity) and bass as well as the master volume range5. Came with the charging cable, a lanyard to wear if desired and clip for a pocket or elsewhere6. I've got a hearing loss but this unit can reach extremely loud levels. (Be careful, start at one if stilltoo loud, open the back and turn down the master volume dial.7. A blue LED in the top corner lights up when charging and goes out when complete. I also read thatit will stop charging when fully charged.DISLIKES1. It's just the nature of the beast but if you've got this clipped to your shirt, bear in mind the microphoneis is in the unit itself and not in your ear. Ergo, that unit will pick-up things like your shirt ruffling while walking etc. and it also really amplifies your own voice. No way around it if you put a mic in the unit itselfand have it say in your shirt pocket close to your face.2. There's no INFORMATION about charging except to plug it in with the supplies cord. Doesn't mention LED light and performance thereof.3. There's no INFORMATION about HOW TO ADJUST the treble, bass and overall volume. I had to go back to the product listing and then open the back cover (see photo) There's a hinge as you see. YOU DON'T NEED TO PRY IT OPEN WITH THE SCREW DRIVER. You use that to turn the little adjustment dials up or down as desired. THIS INFO should have been in the MANUAL.BEST USE IN MY OPINION....SITTING STILL!You can use the 3 foot cord and rest it somewhere away from your face toward another person or toward a TV etc. This cuts down on hearing YOUR OWN voice since it wouldn't be near your face.I think it will come in handy when going to movie theater where it sometimes difficult to hear voices.SO, overall it works pretty well and I like the quality of sound better than some others tested.If used as I mention above, it will come in handy. DIDN'T like the limited manual details.

My hearing is about normal and is never an issue except when I am watching TV. I prefer to have the volume up higher than my spouse does. Of course it drives them crazy and neither of us is happy about it. This device is the perfect solution. I can adjust it to exactly my comfort level. Everybody's happy.

The have good sound quality for the price. It looks like a pocket radio/mp3 player, no one will know. For the price, I'm impressed. If you don't want to wear them all day, just turn it off till you need them. The only draw back is it's like hearing monoaural. You will hear the sound but will not know which direction it came from. I still give it 5 stars because they do a good job of amplifying sound.
