The media could not be loaded. This thermal camera gives the best spatial resolution, all due to its focus adjustable, small field of view camera. The high fps is also very useful. I find it very useful for circuit debugging. Check out the video of a PCB being powered on. The 4 holes at the center left of the video has a pitch of 50mil (0.05 inch). The components on the PCB are mostly 0402/0603 sized. The transistors light up very quickly as soon as the board is powered on. This spatial resolution easily blows any other thermal camera on the market out of the water, expensive FLIR cameras included. My only complain is that the software is buggy (currently at V0.69 on windows) and easy to crash.

Received the camera yesterday, within 18 hours of ordering. Product seems well constructed and thought out. Download of app from the Playstore was straightforward, though a second download of an update was required in the setup. Numerous attempts to find a comprehensive user manual were unsuccessful, though I was able to download the Manual for the TC001 Thermal Camera.I have gone through my house checking out temperature variations and looking for leakages as well as taken a few pictures for grins and giggles. I have not yet verified the accuracy of the temperature readings, though they are certainly in the ballpark, both in absolute and relative terms. The 500-meter-range claim is a bit of a stretch (IMO), though I have done minimum testing. Having tested and liked the focus feature, I would not now settle for less. I very much appreciate not having to worry about batteries and charging for an item that I might not use for months at a stretch.For my purposes (maintenance and testing around the home and garage as well as identification of nocturnal visitors in and around my rural neighborhood and near my chicken coop), I am very pleased with what I've seen so far. I am tempted to reduce the 5-star rating to 4 for the lack of a comprehensive user guide, but that might be my inability to find something right beneath my nose.

The Topdon TS001 is a thermal camera that plugs into the USB-C port on your phone. It also comes with an extension cable that allows you to move it about two feet away from your phone, and also a clamp to mount it to the back of the phone. There is a USB-A adapter on the cable and a Windows app to also allow the camera to be used with a laptop.Setup was simple, just download the app and plug the camera into the phone. I had some minor issues with the app initially and contacted tech support. They responded quickly and provided some good troubleshooting steps, then determined an update to the app was needed. Once I downloaded and installed the app it worked great.The camera displays color-gradiented video on the phone and the color corresponds to temperature. The color palette can be selected for different preference or to overcome visual color recognition issues.The camera has several settings to determine where numerical temperature settings will be taken. In the photos I used the line setting, the user draws a line on the screen and the camera measures along that line. Spot, square, area, and full screen modes are also available.I found this camera easy to use and surprisingly capable for the affordable cost. It's great for finding hot spots in walls, hot spots on car engines, measuring temperature of electronics, and a lot of other applications. I recommend it.

This thermal camera has been nothing short of great. Once you have the app installed the camera will auto load the app whenever you plug it in making it quicker and easier then finding the app. It has a bigger zoom then the previous model without the focusing lens, but allows you to focus the camera easier with the adjustable aperture. It has helped in the automotive field with heated seat grid, heated steering wheels, also diagnosing brakes to see if one caliper or pads may be getting seized. As well as defroster grids this has done me an easy job in the field with my diagnostics and is a great tool to have for many fields even construction when needed to find temperatures and heat signatures. The clip to mount the camera to the back of your phone and not just hang from the usb port also makes this a large improvement from the older version of the camera. Overall this thermal camera is nothing short of great and I would highly recommend if your in the market for one.

This little compact thermal cam is really handy to have. I have used in multiple applications so far since I have had it. I used the camera to find all the spots in my mother in laws house for draft areas around doors and windows. Worked very well and helped save me some time doing it the old way. I also used this guy to look into my field at night for animals and was surprised how far I could see out. It captures images, has a ton of customization tools, and is compact so I through it in my laptop bag or my glove box. Hooks up to the laptop or your android based tablet or phone. Download the app and go to town that simple. I didn’t realize how much I would use this but it’s been super helpful. It’s made well and seems like it will last. It’s easy to install you literally slap it on your phone and download and app.

This device is the best. It's practically a professional level tool. It is not a toy.

Its great but make sure to read the description. I did not see that it was manual focus. But the unit worked amazingly. It's just u have to turn the dial and adjust for clarity. I can't do that with gloves on. Big o hand tiny little dial. Not their fault was mine for not reading.
