California Road & Recreation Atlas - 12th Edition, 2024 (Benchmark)

Great map for planning and driving! I love these maps as they are large and detailed making adventure planning easier. Cell service isn't available everywhere so it's nice to have a map in the car when you are out of your normal area. It makes for a great planning tool that everyone can see!

Very useful and handy to have in car on long road trips

You must get a spiral bound Map because looking through maps that are not spiral bound is a real chore. I live in Norhern California and this map is of Northern Californa so the detail is excellent.This map is beautiful to look at. Details of everything. It looks a bit larger then the standard big maps.Getting it for a vacation must. If you like to travel on back roads this is the map to get.

These books are so helpful for traveling around the USA. We visited ten states recently and only had these books for four of the states. Wish we would have had one for each state. It seems they are sometimes available with a spiral binding where others are not. Definitely get the spiral bound version if you have a choice, even if it costs a little more.

Atlas came in large box and the book has damaged corners. Should have been packaged better. Almost looks used. Maps are very detailed and you may need a magnifying glass to read.

They really pack a lot of information in these atlases. I like to see the "big picture" to plot my trips, and then I use online and GPS for navigation and location details. I have one of these for each of the states I travel in our camper van. Great resource.

Tiny font. Hard to see. And, the index is a little lacking. I am used to using a different brand of atlas. But that requires two books. So, still a good tool. Just not my favorite.
