Great fun and much better than I expected
Okay, this review will be glowing, but there is a hint of a warning.First off, this device looks great. Kind of looks like any sort of smart speaker and has just 4 buttons to operate it, so very easy to use.The sound on it is amazing. I was actually very surprised. Whether you use the memory card to load music into it, or connect via bluetooth, the sound is clear, crisp with just the right amount of base. Much better than I expected, and it fills the room nicely (I have a 4m x 11m through diner, and the sound filled this space with no issue. When using the microphone to sing along, you can clearly hear both the music and your own voice - and both sound amazing (well, the volume is fine, but my singing ability is not improved by this wonderful piece of tech). The microphone is quite small, so great for little kids to use, but it is not the highest quality microphone you're ever going to use and this is my only very small word of warning. If you're wanting something of anything close to professional level, this is not it. However, it is incredibly fun and more than adequate for use on a device like this. There are some voice changer functions (male to female, female to male, child and a magic voice - which just makes me sound like a monster) - and although these are fun when speaking, if you try to sing with one of these voices it puts your voice completely out of key.The game changer is when quick pressing the power button to change how it uses the volume. I found that I was having to put my mouth right up to the mic until I found one of these settings which allows me to hold it a little bit away from my mouth so I can sing unimpeded. There's a lot of reverb on the mic - which I can't find a way to turn off... although, it does help to make my voice sound a little less flat, so it's currently a bonus.Once you get this connected by bluetooth to the TV and have your choice of video streaming site (the most famous of which has a plethora of karaoke tracks for you to murder) running your songs with the words on your screen you're in for a fantastic time. There sometimes appears to be a little bit of lag between the words being highlighted on screen and what you hear on the backing track.. whether this is a problem with the Bluetooth receiver or the video stream itself I don't know, however it only takes a couple of songs for you to find your groove and you adapt very quickly.I love this, and only now wish that I'd managed to grab a 2 mic version. We've played this more in the last 24 hours than anything we've bought in the last 6 months.

A Karaoke which is poor at Karaoke - Fun voice changer and speaker though
The media could not be loaded. A strange one this......ProsQualityBeautiful LED lightingEasy to operateRechargeable speaker and microphoneHandle is actually handyQuick Bluetooth pairingFun voice changingGreat as a Bluetooth speakerTF Card slotConsKaraoke is just rubbish (too quiet)Strangely the only con I have is the poor Karaoke function, but that is supposed to be the main function of this unit, despite this I ended up enjoying using this gadget but mainly as a Bluetooth or MP3 player.UnboxingThe Karaoke kit comes well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box, the kit includes:Karaoke speaker unit1 x Bluetooth Microphone1 x USB Charging Cable (decent length)Instruction manualTurning the unit on is a mixed bag, the LED lighting is just beautiful, by default it has a colour-changing spectrum which slowly rotates around the top, you can change it to single colours or turn the LED off but the default is the most striking, the greeting voice is just nasty though, it says; "POWER ON" and "BLUETOOTH MODE" is a raspy electronic voice which is a bit grating. After quickly reading the brief but easy to follow instructions I found the SETUP really easy, I had it all paired up to my phone in no-time but it wasn't clear what the Bluetooth name actually was, it was 'Y2' in my case, after enabling this and turning on the Microphone I was ready to rock! There's no App for Karaoke so you need to find your own, what's that all about? That was the beginning of my Karaoke woes! After finding a basic app for my phone I attempted to sing (my cat ran away and hid) but the mic was terrible, I had to sing really loudly to have any effect so the overall din was just nasty, the voice sound through the speakers was too quiet and low quality, I played around with the mic volume and it was a little better but I just found it all wrong! I quickly realised that this wasn't a good Karaoke machine.Things got a little better with some other features, the VOICE CHANGER settings were simply great fun, as I sang like a girl (I'm a bloke) it was just funny, especially to my cat who came out of hiding to investigate my sanity. But it excelled as a Bluetooth Speaker or MP3 player, the speaker beats most of my other Bluetooth speakers and makes Alexa Show 5" sound rough compared, to the point that this Karaoke Machine is now my go-to portable speaker around the house. The added connectivity also made it a great standalone speaker as you can pop an SD (TF) card full of MP3's into it if Bluetooth is an issue for you.If you're looking for a good Karaoke machine then this isn't it, if you want a great Bluetooth speaker with below average Karaoke option then this might be for you.Despite the issues I am really pleased with this unit, the microphone will end up in the draw though and I will put my singing ambitions into the same draw.
