We ordered this so our kitten could have a place to go up the wall to some shelves rather than take up floor space with a cat tree (our house is quite small). The wood is beautiful hardwood. No plywood. It was easy to put together. The mounting holes are the same distance apart as our wall studs, so there is no way it is going to come loose! It is extremely sturdy and easily supports both our cats at the same time. Our 4 year old grandson started to climb it, and it showed no signs of loosening from the wall or coming apart. Well worth the money!

Great quality and super sturdy! I’ve had it for a little over a year with no issues. Cats have scratched the scratching pole so that’s why it looks stringy at the top.

Our cat was improvising a route from a central floor to a lower level in a tri-level house. The route required either jumping a half-floor down from a balcony or using our home theater speakers as intermediate 'steps'. This wall mounted shelf system seemed a perfect solution to provide an easy path without a long drop or significant gymnastic ability. This shelf system was super easy to assemble and install. It looks nice and provided a versatile solution for installing into a corner of the room. The cat, of course, utterly ignores this new and easier path - even despite treats and verbal encouragement being employed. The fact that she will use even the first (highest) shelf as an occasional observational and launch point is a victory which justifies the purchase. Perhaps in a year or two, she'll use the other two steps in our presence and provide the affirmation we so desperately seek for our effort? Or... we'll continue to be found lacking. It could go either way.

I really like the quality of the stairs—you getbang for your buck as they give you all the tools you could possibly need including the drill bit. It is the perfect addition to my vertical cat wall. However it was easy to assemble, but a b**** to attach to the wall because of its awkward shape and size. My cat loves it and climbs it super well. It is quite heavy and as you can see the Molly is pulling out of the wall already (I used the ones they gave me) so I’m quite unhappy about that. Thankfully it’s holding at the moment tho. Also it’s squeaks super loudly, no matter how fast or slow she goes up or down it so it’s a little annoying at night when she decides to go climbing.
