MackieM48 Phantom Power Supply

I love not having to carry batteries. It also has all the features I want and need. It has the Mackie name and the build quality feels solid. I feel like it is overpriced by about $20 and that is my only real criticism. The sound quality is good and the silent operation. What I would expect from Mackie.

It's battery powered. We use it with a violin that needs phantom power for it's mic. It works really well.

I have been using Mackie products for the past couple of years. Usually, I am quite happy with the quality of the product. However, the M48 is just missing....something...for it to be truly high quality...maybe it was just the weight. I'm not sure. Regardless, the M48 does the job quite well that it sets out to do. Powering my Phantom Powered microphones was easy and didn't cause any noise or interference with it. This was a good solution to go from a high-quality phantom microphone to XLR-USB, for when I'm on the go and can't bring my whole amplifier set up.Overall, if you want clean power to your phantom powered equipment this will work. Reasonably priced for a piece of gear that SHOULD last you a while. Mackie hasn't disappointed me yet.

The unit arrived dead... sent back for a refund. Mackie quality control has gone way down in my opinion.

This is the kind of quality and affordability that I come to expect from Mackie. And the fact that I have the choice of running it off a 9 V battery, as opposed to the supplied adapter, it’s portability is handy.

「ファンタム電源の違いによって、コンデンサーマイクの音質の変化があるのか？」という実験の目的で購入しました。過去にMACKIEのミキサーを長年使用していたので、信頼性や耐久性があることを期待してこの商品を選びました。　安いミキサーやオーディオインターフェイスのファンタム電源は貧弱な場合があり、電圧や電流が不足するとコンデンサーマイクに十分な電力が供給できず、音質が劣化することがあるそうです。　オーディオインターフェイス内蔵のファンタム電源と音質の比較をしてみましたが「若干、音がクッキリしたかもしれない？」という程度の「若干の」音質向上がありました。（あくまでも個人的な感想です）音響関係の仕事をされている方以外には、変化がわかりにくいと思うので、コンデンサーマイクの音質向上を目的にこの製品を購入するのは、あまりお勧めしません。　この製品そのものは非常に頑丈な金属製で造りがしっかりしていて、ノイズや歪みなども全く無く、プロの現場でも使用できる製品です。1か所欠点を挙げるとすれば、９V電池を接続する端子が一般的なものと同じもので、長年の繰り返しの使用には耐久性に少し不安があり「MACKIEらしくない」部分があるのが少し残念でした。

I like the product because it's more powerful and better than I thought. I used to use the phantom power from my mixer, but one day it stopped working, so I bought this M48. Now I continue using the same mixer and microphone, but with the M48, I didn't need to buy a new mixer—a cheaper solution.
