If I purchase to protect an oval wood coffee table, would it slip around, or how would I secure it without making it look gaudy?

I ordered a 44" x 72" and received a 45" x 72" cover.  Why is it not the size I ordered?

For the 44 inch width table protector, as we reserve a bit wider in its size, its exact size more than 44 inch, close to 45 inch. To avoid the table protector shrinkage after years using.
 
If you need the table protector to fit on tabletop exactly, we can trim the material by yourself, that’s easy job to do it. What we need to do: 
1.	Use pencil  for 44 inch remarks on its width firstly;
2.	Trim it with scissor, with attention;
