Work perfectly especially for streaming.
These are a great invention. They have been around for years and the Netgear units work without a glitch. These are really great for streaming since hard wired connections are so much faster that wifi. And these eliminate the need for running cables throughout your home. You can buy these and add on others later. I have 4 connected in different locations and have had not 1 problem.

Great for streaming issues
I purchased 2 sets of NETGEAR PLP2000 Powerline adapters to solve problems with buffering and stuttering while streaming video. They were easy to install and set up and completely solved my issues.

Works as expected
Works as expected. My room is the furthest possible from the router, being opposite floor and corner of the house. Can game while streaming and watching videos with no lag

Reliable but Not the Fastest
Not very fast but reliable, and that's what counts. I use this for a backup to my wireless and have found it to be very useful and reliable when the wireless network has an issue. I would recomend these for reliablity and an ok signal but not if you need speed.

Would not work with home's AFCI Circuit Breakers- Caused immediate electrical circuit failure
I had to order the Netgear PLP2000 twice to only find out ultimately, that they will not work with my home's wiring...Amazon shipped a USED product the first time: So that order had to be returned.I was excited to eventually receive the SECOND order I placed for the Netgear PLP2000 powerline ethernet adapters only to find out that upon plugging one into my home's wall socket, that it produced a visible spark and immediately tripped the home's circuit breaker. There's no documentation available from Netgear regarding why that may have happened, but I was able to find reports regarding similar products from other brands causing circuit failures from AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters) circuit breakers.AFCI circuit breakers were adopted into the (US) National Electrical Code in 1999 and their use (per different state's building code standards) has increased in usage throughout the past 26 years to be on many to most home's wiring circuits. If your home has AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters) circuit breakers they may immediately fail upon trying to use Netgear PLP2000 (as is my experience) or you may see delayed failures (per my discovery of other's experiences of similar powerline ethernet adaptor products. What's unusual is that I had previously used a different company's set of older powerline ethernet adaptors in my home with absolutely zero issues for the past 6 years. I guess there's something within the chipset/ architecture of "2,000 Mbps" powerline ethernet adaptors which is the culprit as user reviews of TP-Link's competing product (the TP-Link AV2000) also mention problems being used with a home which has Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (see https://www.amazon.com/review/R1EOO3HVHDGQ3I/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_rdp_perm).Given the above fact, I'd caution anyone with a home built with the past 25 years to be aware of the high possibility of incompatibility with your home's wiring and this product. It's difficult for me to fathom that Netgear and Amazon has not included this information in the product's documentation/ sale's page.

Ethernet Everywhere! These work perfectly!
TLDR: These are great and I highly recommend getting them before any of the smaller/lower bandwidth ones to add to your network. See the pros and cons below.I'm quite impressed with these. I ordered some of the smaller adapters NETGEAR Powerline AV 200 Nano Adapter - XAV2101-100PAS at first and just couldn't get a stable connection on my 2 story house throughout all plugs. They did work but would disconnect and had a low bandwidth connection. I thought it might have been the wiring of my house even though it's a 2 year old house and had new copper wiring throughout. Turns out I just needed these instead. When I added the 2GBbs powerlines to my network it seemed to super charge all the smaller ones and it sems to actually work. Now I get a stable ethernet connection in any room that I have an adapter including my garage. I mostly use wifi throughout the house but keep my TV and desktop computers hardwired for a stronger connection. Now I can easily stream in 4k through the hardline and didn't have to go through the costly work of installing ethernet plugs in the rooms that I want to use a hardwired connection. Wifi is the way of the future but will continue to get more interference with more and more signals. These really helped.Pros:You don't "lose" an outlet and can still plug whatever device you are supplying ethernet to into the socket. There are two ports on the bottom with their own unique IP address so you can setup multiple computers/devicesIt's much easier to expand your wifi network by plugging in a second router to one of these and then using it as an access point for those areas in your house that have weaker signalsThey are very very stable. No disconnects (unless my whole network goes down) and they seem to work on any plug in my house. Even outside. It's worth mentioning that all Netgear powerline adapters are compatible. So I was able to use these with the smaller ones I mentioned and now those work too. There are a lot of different models for different needs. Some that broadcast a wifi signal, some with multiple outlets, some with multiple ports, and some super compact.Cons:The top is somewhat rounded and it does block the ground port on the socket above it.This means that you can't plug in two 3 pronged cords. It seems like if they just made it flat at the top it would fix that since it's just a few millimeters too tall. For me, the 3 bright LED's are annoying since I like almost total darkness at night. But that is just me. Many people won't be bothered by them at all.I guess some would say that the overall size of them is an issue and might be an eyesore. I'm not bothered by it though. They look like a tech gadget but know that they are about 6hx3wx2d (in) which means they are about the size of a small brick.
