Bought these for my mom for her low back pain. One side has a soft material so a towel/cloth is not needed against the skin. She said it was the perfect size and remained cold for a long time. Great value for the money

The fabric is soft and helps keep the "shock" of cold to a minimum, it's so much better than having a plastic ice pack

Nice softer/fabric side on one side and much cooler on the other. I place pack in the freezer and wrap with a hand towel when using them. Once coldness wears off some then I use it directly on body. A good buy and quality.

Compared to other gel ice packs that I have in the same freezer - these get noticeably more stiff when frozen. When bent and shaped - they feel like the gel has water and got partially frozen - you can hear and feel similar to densely packed snow inside. So I wanted to put it around my shoulder - it is stiff and results in very little contact with the shoulder. Returning for that reason.Other than that they feel like good quality packs and the "velvet" side feels nice (but less cold) and the other side is smooth and feels colder.

When these are frozen flat, they work like a dream, easily fit under my back and the cooling on the side is wonderful. When it seems to lose cooling, I flip it over to the plastic side and have another hour of cooling left. I love these things.

I have back problems so I always have two of these ready to go in the freezer. I love how soft they are- they mold to my back but are still icy cold. The velour? side is super nice too.

Packs are not at all flexible when taken from the freezer. You have to let them warm up a bit to wrap around the affected area. One side has a soft fabric so that moderates the cold feeling to your skin.

These two ice packs are the perfect size to hold against sore spots to relieve pain. But the recent heat wave brought me to an additional use: cooling pads for heat relief!I love the softness of the soft side- only wish they'd used that fabric on BOTH sides.All in all, a great purchase.

doesn't freeze rock hard so conforms to area wrap it on. very nice soft covering on the one side to be next to skin. the two pack is awesome so you always have another cold one ready to go.they freeze quickly.will likely order the larger one also.super value for a good product

This ice pack gets extremely cold, and yet is still pliable. The soft fleece is an added plus. Great value too. Two thumbs up.

These packs are what I expected. The fabric side of them are less cold or less hot than the side that face tye skin whether I am using them as ice pack or cold pack; this allows me to hold the pack without being affected by the temperature of the pack.
