Retrospec Apollo-Lite Lift-Off Front Bike Basket

I use my basket for hauling many different items and it is holding up fine. Be aware if your handle bars are low the basket may touch your wheel or rest on the fender. Do to my taking the basket on and off my bike frequently the powder coating became scratched on the back of the basket. You may need to tilt the basket when placing it on your handlebars to avoid hitting the post.

We bought 2 of these. They work great. They can be removed easily. The handle is perfect for carrying it around. Nice size. It can fit plenty of items.

This will fit on mountain bike bars just takes a little finagaling. Solid fit, no rattles.

fits nicely on speed bikes with the cables girls love them can get lots in basket they really for their school back packs!!!

I wish the hooks were farther apart. My E bike has so much junk on the handlebar that it won’t fit on my E bike because there are so few options of where to hang it because of the narrow placement of the hanger hooks.

I have 5 bikes and somehow this basket doesn't fit on any of them! The hooks that are meant to go on your handlebars are relatively narrow, so there isn't much give in how it will fit.For it to fit, your handlebars should be straight across the top (can be a drop bar bike, but need flat across the center--no bendy bits like in many hybrids), you shouldn't have unmovable cables in front of your handlebars (e.g. brakes, gears), and the actual tubes of of the handlebars shouldn't be very thick (or have very thick wrap--maybe no wrap at all).The basket is what I wanted--simple, basic, nice color--but just doesn't fit. :/

Its a basic metal basket. For the $26 CDN I paid for it a few weeks ago, I'm happy with it so far. The build quality seems good for what it is, and the handle works - its great for light trips to the grocery store. I got it in brown because that was cheap and the paint seems to be thick and finish is fine.To be clear, it didn't fit onto the handle bars of my small mountain bike that only gets used in the city - the hooks are not wide enough. Instead, I just hook it on to my rear pannier rack (see photo). The hooks are too wide, but long enough to hook onto the side rail, and I just use a carabiner to ensure that if it bumps out it stays connected to the bike. I unhook it and carry it in to shop and carry it out and hook it up again and ride. It can carry a good grocery bag's worth of stuff and a fair amount of weight (10 kilos).I'd constructively suggest the manufacturer consider two things: (i) make the hooks longer and narrower and market it as a pannier-mount side basket like I use it with a retainer clip and maybe a reflector mount on the side, and (ii) make the handle wider or put a plastic/rubber handgrip on the handle to make it more comfortable to carry.

Doesn't fit my adult size bike.

I was hesitant based on the reviews that the basket would not fit on my bike as my brake handles and wires would be in the way. Turns out they were in the way but you can actually temporarily remove them, put the basket on and screw it back in place. You can also maneuver the metal bars a little so that it fits onto your bike. It surprisingly fits a lot and isn't too bulky looking. It's a good price and well made considering the price point.

This is a pretty no-frills functional basket. It was a pretty tight fit on my Retrospek commuter bike, but with enough tie wraps these days, it seems like anything can work.Although a bit on the small side, there is still plenty enough space to fit a few 6 packs or some groceries.Pros:☺ Value☺ WeightCons: None that I have noticed.Overall: This is a nice light functional bicycle basket. Recommended

If you don’t have a full sized bike and if you have all sorts of “brake handles’, gear shifters, etc..... it might not fit. But there’s almost no way to find out unless you physically try it.
