Great value - i paid $70 for three woobles and far less than that for these. Got all the same accessories as the most expensive kits, even the videos. Each took me about an hour to make. Im including them in my gift baskets I make with my canned goods and they're perfect!

This was not for beginners. My grandson could not finish it. He got very frustrated.

1) this is it for beginners or if you’re trying to learn how to crochet like I was. If you don’t know how to make a magic ring or how to make a slip knot I don’t suggest buying this because you need to know how to make those.2) the yarn it’s self is on the smaller size and very slippery. It pulled apart easily and came unraveled which made learning even more difficult.3) the tutorials weren’t great. I ended up using the woobles tutorial because it was more step by step.4) I haven’t been able to make a single thing out of this. Would have been great if it came self started like the woobles do. Don’t waste your money on this and if you’re looking to learn to crochet use the woobles.

I have only dabbled with yarn. As an avid crafter, it is assumed that I would be able to crochet or knit yet I can do neither. When I saw this kit, I knew that I had to use it. I ordered it and open the box as soon as it arrived. I have been able to complete two of the characters with ease, and I really like the enclosed instructions. I found that the kit had everything that I needed to complete the projects inside. The quality of the yarn and needle were very good and they are nice enough that I will be able to reach them for future projects! Overall great product would make a great gift for anyone looking to learn a new craft.

Very hard to follow, and no left handed tutorials

What do I love about this kit? I love the fact that this has multiple colors and patterns. I love the cute little orange case, which can be used in the future for crochet projects, or can store these delightful veggies. The polyfill stuffing that comes with the kit is vacuum sealed, so what you see is small but there's a lot of stuffing for this kit. I appreciate the completeness of the kit, with sample yarn, key chains, an ergonomic hook, and a yarn snipper that can be great for travel.What don't I love? I wish these kits didn't say they were for beginners. If someone is a beginner crocheter, start with a hook and some cotton yarn and make a couple dishcloths. Then try making a scarf. Once you have even stitches, then you can move on to amigurumi like this. Just my opinion: I would never have been a successful crocheter if I had started with projects like this. You may be able to hop right in, but not I. Also, I do NOT like the eyes that come with this kit and have to be glued on. I have safety eyes I've purchased elsewhere on Amazon and will use them instead: they have a backing and are locked securely. This and other kits tend to include eyes that don't lock together.All in all, well worth it for intermediate crocheters!

fun easy little set, the instructions are easy to follow would make a great gift for the crafter in your life.

It is a decent little set for someone that has a little know how on how to crochet. I wouldn't say for beginners. My daughter and I both don't know how to crochet and neither of us got very far. We need to sit and watch the videos a few times I guess and just keep practicing. I think that it's probably easy for someone who knows the basics already. The kit comes with everything you need, as far as I can tell anyway. The yarn isn't the best especially for beginners. It comes unraveled easily and as we try to learn the different stitches or even a basic stitch we found ourselves pulling the yarn apart because it's made of many tinier threads. Probably could use a better yarn.

The vegetables in this kit were a joy to make. The yarn is a really soft 5 ply/sport weight, and is lovely to work with. The 3mm crochet hook supplied has a soft handle so is easy on the hands.And there is plenty of yarn and stuffing supplied. I made mine with a fairly loose stitch so they were bigger, and there was still plenty of yarn. If a tighter stitch is used I think there would be enough for two of each vegetable.Please note that the instructions use American crochet terms, (saying single crochet, whereas the UK would say double crochet.)Now the criticisms:First, the eyes supplied were not safety eyes, they were supplied with a stick of hot glue (that needs a hot glue gun to use).I don't like using glue on crocheted items and I have doubts about how well the eyes would remain attached. I recommend that safety eyes be used. A box of mixed size safety eyes are sold on Amazon; and these are what I used. 5mm for the peas, 7mm for the carrot and aubergine, and 9mm for the potato, pumpkin and tomato. Alternatively the eyes can be stitched using the plentiful excess yarn and the tapestry needle supplied.Secondly, I am an experienced crocheter and had no difficulty with the patterns, but there are some mistakes in the instruction booklet that would make it very hard for beginners. The picture on how to make a 'slip loop' also known as a magic loop has the loop made with the tail yarn in front of the loop. In this way it is impossible to start the first stitch. As this kit is aimed at beginners, I think this is a glaring mistake. There is also a rather confusing spelling mistake that is repeated several times. When the green parts are made using a chain; the instructions say "strat" in the second loop of the chain. It should say 'start'.
