didn't work worth a crap. the built in wireless on my cheap laptop picked up twice as many networks.

Yes it does work in Kali Linux. Either look at Alfa website for drivers and instructions or you can also look up David Bombal on YouTube and search his site for this model. There are drivers and instructions out there.

Yes. But the source has to be strong enough to reach YOU. mine does several thousand feet if the source is strong enough

My initial use of this device is that it works very well for its intended purpose.Software installation was quick and simple. The Antenna worked very well and the signal was strong.I sometimes need a stronger signal when away camping and this antenna does the job well.I'm happy I bought this product and thought the price was very reasonable.
