I have had this pad for a year and two months. All of a sudden, the control stopped working as I couldn't set the timer anymore. All the red lights came on and kept on flashing. After I tried it many times and checked the connection, I found out that the plug was loose and not completely in. So, I pushed it in further to secure the plug that fixed the issue. I have put it on top of my body while sleeping in winter and have lied on it also. It sure had kept me warm and helped my blood circulation as my cheeks would be pinkish in the morning and felt warm. I found out that because I bent it while sleeping, the stones moved around with many of them disappeared when no stones had fallen out. Finally I found out that many stones moved under other stones to be invisible. So I had to use a tiny screwdriver for glasses to push the stones from under other stones back to the vacant spots (The cloth on top of each stone is sewed into a square space with a slot on top that the screwdriver can get in to dig and push stones around.) It took me a while to get the stones back in place. Now I don't use it while sleeping, but have started putting the pad on the chair to sit on. It does have health benefits as it increases my metabolism as I feel warm with good blood circulation. But I don't know how the pad works with pains that I don't have.

After 15 months it will not heat anymore. I think for this price it should last longer.Update. The controller was what went bad. I actually asked if I could buy another controller but instead the seller sent me a new pad and controller free of charge. I’m very impressed by the customer support I was given by this seller and would highly recommend this product.These are great heating pads and healthier than regular electric ones.

We splurged and got two for Christmas. My mom got the utk with magnets and it is nice; but so is this. Well made, nice stones and the heat is sublime (no odors or off gassing). In the two days I've had it, did a serious heat (body loves to sweat); but did a few on the lower settings. Which surprisingly, is nice too. The infrared is softer than the heat bulbs & I found that I can turn the heat off and the stones will stay warm for about 10-15 minutes. Right as they’re cooling you can still feel the ions (it’s a vibe). The two types of tourmaline does make a difference. they buzz a little differently and you can tell the (ions?) is a different vibe than the jade (warm; but not quite as warm or infraredy; but really cool) & the warmth of the jade is sooo nice. You can see why the Chinese love it so much almost revere it. Tips: grab some celery seed from amazing herbs, drink a lot of water before you start and you’ll detox like crazy. You’ll detox anyway; but it helps. If you’re not used to sweating, ease into it & don’t over do it. Even on the cooler temps, the infared will do the work. The pain definitely goes down, ease of movement and self adjusting is easier. You’ll feel loose; but expect some back and forth while your body gets used to the new life. For that, so worth it. It is an investment; but you are worth it. Make it part of your routine & you’ll notice life gets better. I probably won’t sweat hard everyday; but having something to help deal with the toxins in life physical and emotional, really makes a difference and you a lot stronger. If you’re on the fence; but know you need it, then don’t hesitate. The only thing I’ll say about the more expensive one is the magnets do work and if you have the cash, you won’t be sorry about it either (but I’ll be buying some natural magnets and put them on…negative side to the body!). A couple of years ago I was in a car accident, I was rear-ended by a drunk driver . Ever since then I have had sciatic nerve and lower back issues. I've had to go to the chiropractor twice a week for 9 months now. I have tried everything and nothing seemed to help. I got this pad because I wanted a good quality heating pad. I was tired of the cheap ones that you get at the local market . So I started using the pad, and I cannot believe that i'm now doing yard work and the sciatic pain and lower back pain doesn't hurt as bad anymore. I also have less painful trips to the chiropractor now. I cannot believe it's helped me this much. I use it all the time. I sleep on it, and it's really helped with the pain.

I am very shaken. I used my sister’s from another company before, which is why I bought this jade blanket for myself and even spend about $200 for this. I turned this on for the first time tonight after receiving it today. Went downstairs to allow it to heat up and came back up 30 minutes later and smelled a burn odor. Grateful this didn’t start a fire as it could have from the level of melt and heat it produced. It could have severely burned my skin. This blanket destroyed my brand new sheets, my foam bed cushion & its cover as well as they are brown/black & melted everything together. The black handle strap is shown melted off the blanket and into my sheet. Haven’t contacted the company but I SHOULD be reimbursed for the destruction it caused as I now have to buy all new sheets, foam mattress cover and a new zip encasement cover for that. Use with caution but I would just not buy this. IT IS DANGEROUS. I am still in shock.

Better than my old one. Flexible nice even heat comfortable on your back. Will wrap around knees, lay on thighs. More options on the controls than just on and off. Cord length long. Goes over the recliner to outlet.
