Expensive But Do A Decent Enough Job
I bought these to use in my body pump class as the clasps there are a bit hit or miss. At £20 these are not cheap but I am glad I bought a set. The keep the weights firmly in place of the the bar and are definitely better than your average bar. However, the weights do spin around a bit still but at least they are quite firmly in place and won't slide down the bar. They are sturdily built and feel like a quality product. They are also easy to get on and off - you just pull up or push down the clap to unlock/lock.

Safe, Speedy and Secure
I have been lifting weights for 50 years and this is the greatest breakthrough. Changing weights between sets has always been a problem for the home trainer. Lock Jaw is simple to use, lightweight, very secure and works with barbells and dumbbells. When I started we used alan keys which bit into the bar and were very secure but time consuming. If you added weight to a barbell between sets the tendency was to leave the collars on and add unsecured weight to the bar which could have disastrous results. Spin locks never stay tight and are time consuming and the clips whilst easier are not man enough for the job. I love them.

Awesome
I can't believe what a difference these make. I hate spinlock collars with a passion and the screw top collars that come free with a lot of the cheaper barbell sets I've found to be equally useless and time consuming coming loose during workouts and allowing plates to spin on the bar as I'm working out and also I begrudge spending my resting time changing plates on account of the collars taking so long to put on and off. These badboys are game changers. They hold the plates in place perfectly, no movement at all and they take literally only a second to put on and off the bar. They even work on spinlock bars. I'll definitely only ever buy these collars in the future.

Dangerous!
Dangerous! I wish there was a way to give less than a 1 star rating. These locks, if I can call them that, are made up of some cheap plastic, no grip no nada! Your weights will just be sliding off. Please for your own sake and the sake of NHS, DO NOT BUY THESE! Your weights will be dangling about throughout your session or worse, you could hurt yourself!

Maybe a dodgy one as we're working brilliantly before
Used on 5 occasions broke and all the weights dropped off and missed my toe by inches.. Maybe a dodgy one as we're working brilliantly before

Useful, but not special
As another reviewer has mentioned, be wary of using these with heavy weight plates. While the collars are of a decent enough build quality (considering they are only made out of resin), and while they DO hold weights in place fairly securely, in my experience they don't seem to offer much more security when compared to a good, strong pair of spring collars, especially when used with any plates over 10kg.If used in conjunction with a pair of spring collars they do give you an extra layer of security which is fine since we should all be aiming to lift as safely as possible, but for the price these are I would expect them to do a much better job on their own.In conclusion: adequate, but very expensive.
